🎬 ABOUT HAILEY DEAN MYSTERIES: DEATH ON DUTY 🎬
Hailey Dean helps her best friend, District Attorney Investigator Fincher Garland, come to terms with the unexpected murder of a friend, Kurt Cullen, he served with in the Marine Corps. The MPs are saying it was a random attack but Fincher doesn’t buy it. Trouble is, this investigation is in the hands of the Marine Military Police, and Atlanta PD is shut out completely. And to make things worse, Fincher was the last person to speak to Kurt before he died, making him a person of interest in the investigation. Hailey and Fincher have to take the investigation into their own hands, putting their jobs and safety at great risk to catch the killer.Meanwhile Hailey's coroner boyfriend, Jonas, is asked to be a part of a fundraising calendar for Atlanta Memorial Hospital and he becomes a local celebrity, prompting Hailey to realize her jealousy can only mean one thing - she loves him.Hailey also reconnects with her old colleague from the DA's office, now the District Attorney herself. Paulina D'Orazio reaches out to inform Hailey about an upcoming parole hearing for a murderer she put behind bars ten years earlier. Clayton Morrel murdered his wife in cold blood and Paulina was the DA assigned to the case, and she chose Hailey as her second chair. Ten years went by all too quickly and Paulina can't stomach the thought of a murderer like Clayton being back on the streets of Atlanta. Hailey promises to help, but she worries Paulina is more affected by this than she's letting on.
