Bob Marcus, an average Joe obsessed with becoming famous, lands himself in a mental institution after a publicity stunt goes wrong. His desperate need for fame is reignited when a mysterious fellow patient, Smith, claims to be a secret agent and insists that Osama Bin Laden is still alive. Convinced this is his last chance at glory, Bob orchestrates an escape with a band of misfits—including Smith, an anger-prone patient named Larry, and another patient who believes he is Dr. Phil. The group embarks on a chaotic road trip to hunt down Bin Laden, all while being pursued by the authorities.
