This video explores the heartwarming relationships Tom Holland has developed with various Hollywood veterans. Rather than just professional collaborations, Holland often finds himself \"adopted\" by his co-stars, who treat him with a mixture of parental guidance, protective mentorship, and sibling-like camaraderie.
Maybe the sweetest part of Tom Holland's journey isn't the big stages or blockbuster movies,
but the way the people he once looked up to slowly started treating him like family.
Through movie sets, interviews, and all those little off-camera moments,
Tom somehow keeps getting adopted by Hollywood stars,
teased, looked after, and treated like the youngest kid in the family.

Robert Downey Jader
Robert Downey Jr. knows his kid a little too well.
The second Tom looks like he might accidentally spoil another Marvel secret,
RDJ immediately switches into full-on dad mode.
You will see it when I'm ready for you to see it.
Once the scene was over, RDJ even gave his son Tom Holland a kiss.
Almost like a little bit of encouragement for all the work Tom had put in.
RDJ cares about Tom enough to call and check in on him right in the middle of a press junket.
And Tom is clearly a very obedient son, even while he's on camera.
He picks up the second dad calls.
Are you kidding me? Where are you?
I'm in Berlin right now. I'm in Germany.
Oh, come on.
It's fun, man. I wish you were here.
Doing a good job?
Am I doing a good job? Yeah, I think so.
Okay.
Not bad. Just disappointed.
Right, okay. Lots of love.
Tom looks up to his dad, RDJ, so much that he even showed up dressed like him,
right down to the signature tinted glasses,
giving RDJ the perfect chance to give him a proud little pat on the shoulder.
Now, hold on a damn second.
Just because I did this to you in Berlin doesn't mean all right, all right.
I even wore glasses to try.
Look at you.
This is very RDJ, right?
It's very good. You really are taking cues from the master now.
Yeah, so I went back and learned how to play tennis left handed,
to which everybody said, bring it.
Tom even joked that if his mom calls, he can let it go.
But if RDJ calls, he has to pick up.
That pretty much tells you everything about how much his Marvel dad means to him.
FaceTime me in the middle of an interview.
Never FaceTime me ever once.
This is something that he likes to do, or you like to do?
Well, now it's become a bit of a thing.
Why are you answering your phone in the middle of an interview?
Because it's you.
If it was my mom, I'd be like, no.
But it's Robert Downey Jr.
So you're like, yeah, I'll see what's happening.
If RDJ is Tom's Marvel dad, then Anne Hathaway fits perfectly as his Hollywood mom.
Always looking out for him and cheering him on like one of her own.
Number two, Anne Hathaway.
I have to say, as a mom in real life, I very much hope all of my children
grow up to be as wonderful as my on-screen child.
Tom is like a dream son.
Anne doesn't just say she cares about Tom.
The second he sneezes, she immediately turns to check on him,
looking every bit like a mom making sure her kid is OK.
Unfortunately, that is all the time I have.
Bless you, bless you.
Excuse me, thank you.
Can we just redo that?
I realized I sneezed right into the microphone.
Sorry about that.
I thought it was on this side.
And every time Tom sees Anne during the The Odyssey press tour,
he naturally goes in for a hug and greets her like family.
At that point, they barely feel like two co-stars anymore,
just two people who are genuinely comfortable around each other.
And that closeness isn't something only the audience picks up on.
Anne herself has said that she and Tom just naturally click,
making working together feel almost effortless.
Tom and I just kind of had bounced right from the beginning.
Immediately just, yeah.
We just liked each other.
We have a lot of shared interests.
We love film.
We love sports.
We love our families.
So we just kind of, I don't know, we never ran out of things to chat about.
You finally get to work with Anne.
How was that?
I mean, a dream come true for me.
And she was such a lifeline throughout this entire process.
She was like my anchor, really.
Not anchor.
That's not the word I'm looking for.
She was the wind in my sails.
We just hit it off right away.
Like a certain friendly chemistry that I can't describe.
The more I knew him, the more I liked him.
We have a lot of things in common.
I absolutely adore Anne.
I had so much fun working with her.
I learned so much from her as an actor.
And Tom clearly adores Anne just as much,
from the way he talks about her to the way they interact.
Everything between them feels so natural that the whole mom and son chemistry
almost writes itself.
I feel like we arrived pre-ball.
Yeah, you really just hit it off immediately.
Like the chemistry for us was so natural and easy.
We live in Ithaca.
Sometimes.
Used to.
Is it Matt Damon?
Yeah.
Sometimes.
This person is well and truly at the Odyssey, yeah.
If you could ask Homer one question about the Odyssey, what would you ask?
Do you think that I am a good telemacus?
And I would ask, do you think Tom Holland was a good telemacus?
Yeah, nice.
I like that.

Tom Holland doesn't just have one Hollywood dad in RDJ.
Over on the Odyssey, he picked up another one.
Matt Damon.
Number 3.
Matt Damon.
I wish I could claim him as a son.
Oh, God, yeah.
Yeah, he's way cooler than my dad.
I just kind of like, would you rather he was your daddy or he was your daddy?
Tom.
Matt looks at Tom like a proud dad watching his kid make it,
especially when he talks about Tom becoming Spider-Man.
Goat superhero.
Why are you taking so long to answer this, Matt?
I'd have to say Spider-Man.
Excellent actor in that role.
And then you took it.
Even when they're just cooking together, Matt naturally slips into that dad role,
showing Tom the ropes, teasing him a little,
and making their whole father-son dynamic feel effortless.
Like, what do you make?
Can I assume you've never cooked with each other before?
No.
It's actually how we bonded before we started the movie.
This is what Nolan had us as.
You can do it.
Yeah?
Start stirring.
No, I was talking to the sourdough.
We believe in you.
Yeah.
We want you to grow and feed so many people, make so many people happy.
Number 4.
Benedict Cumberbatch.
If RDJ is Tom's dad in the MCU,
then Benedict Cumberbatch is basically the guardian who always has to keep an eye on him.
I am here to filter everything he says before he says it.
I have that ability, so I can just go like that.
So they give you the script, really, as late as possible, is that right?
No, they don't give anyone the script.
I did read the script.
Did you?
Yes.
Of course, they're not going to give you the script.
Oh, don't walk off.
Come back, come back.
But look, I'm old school, and I've also kept state secrets about Star Trek Into Darkness.
You'll find out.
The second Tom gets a question that could lead to a spoiler,
Benedict jumps in with the safest answer possible,
like someone who's gotten very used to watching over the kid who might accidentally give everything away.
In Infinity War, are you a freelancer?
I mean, do you go back to the Avengers?
That's a good question.
I'll answer it.
He is really, really, really fun to work with.
It's nice to be on set with a friend, and it's just, you know, it's a gas.
We have a good time.
Sometimes Benedict doesn't even bother cutting him off.
He just starts singing over Tom before he has a chance to spoil anything else.
So Tom, are there new characters in this movie?
Are there new characters in this movie?
We heard that Captain Marvel's going to make an appearance.
And the second Tom starts getting nervous during a live interview, Benedict goes right
back into babysitter mode, stepping in, covering for him, and helping take some of the pressure
off.
Tom's not actually going to the premiere, there's going to be a separate little red
carpet.
He's going to go up and see Toy Story 3, so he doesn't give it a big second.
5.
Robert Pattinson
The two are so natural around each other that they honestly come off like real brothers,
always teasing each other, playing off each other, and laughing through almost every interview.
And after working together, it's pretty obvious how much they genuinely respect each
other.
Tom is always quick to praise his brother Robert, and Robert is just as happy to return
The whole discussion about the fact that Robert Pattinson was like, I want to be your daddy
and everyone's like, that's Robert Pattinson.
I love Rob, he's a good pal of mine, and he is such a treat to work with because he's
so good.
And I do remember in that scene when he's like talking to me, having this feeling inside
of like, I want to hit him so f***ing bad.
Especially saying it to Tom too, because I kind of, I was trying to make him laugh saying
it as well.
I actually worked with Tom Holland when I did this movie called The Lost City of Z.
He was, I think he hadn't even been cast as Spider-Man, and he was wearing a Spider-Man
outfit.
He really manifested that part.
Maybe the reason Tom Holland keeps getting adopted by Hollywood legends is pretty simple.
He's playful enough to make them want to tease him, but genuine enough to make them truly
care about him.

Benedict Cumberbatch, or someone else?
