Standoff in Emeryville

Law enforcement agencies, including Emeryville PD, CHP, and Berkeley PD, are currently managing a standoff involving a potentially armed suicidal suspect in Emeryville off Powell Street. The area near the Watergate condominium complex and the entrance to Interstate 80 is closed, with traffic being diverted and civilian vehicle access restricted.
