Most Ordinary Days... The Comforts of Home

Bonjour, I hope you are all very well. I have been thoroughly enjoying finding my way back to our routines now that school has started again. Returning to the rhythm of our rather simple days has been lovely. Taking the time to make our home a place of rest and comfort for all of us keeps me grounded and reminds me of how much I enjoy these quieter chapters of life. So there hasn't been much beyond the ordinary lately and I'm very happy to lean into it. The school runs, keeping the house in order, making the beds, preparing meals, finding little ways to make our surroundings more comfortable. None of this is particularly remarkable and yet these are the moments that quietly shape our days. As this beautiful Indian summer gently leads us towards the cooler months, I find myself drawn to richer, warmer colours. A subtle way of welcoming autumn into the house. I wanted our bedroom to feel like a warm and welcoming hug. I'm not usually one for patterned bed linen but I completely fell head over heels for this paisley print. It brings just the right amount of warmth and character to the room. Perhaps we don't always need something new or exciting to look forward to. Sometimes having the time and space to enjoy what is already ours is more than enough and I think that is what I have been appreciating lately. The comfort of familiar routines, the small pleasures of home and the simple reassurance of being exactly where I am. I hope you enjoyed spending this little time here with me. À bientôt!
