Lions deceive and trap a warthog

One of the most successful hunting strategies utilized by lions is this variation of the tried and true ‘stalk and ambush’ technique. The group sends out a decoy or distractor to scare the prey towards them while they wait for a suitable candidate to move deep into the killzone. This is when they spring the trap and come at the prey from multiple angles, leaving the target few options but to run back the other way.

This isn't a fool proof strategy, but it is a viable method for procuring a fresh meal.
