Water shortage restrictions continue

The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SwiftMud) has extended its modified Phase 3 water shortage order through the end of March. Due to a rainfall deficit of over 15 inches and low reservoir levels, residents are restricted to watering their lawns only once a week on designated days to conserve the region's drinking water supply.
