After weeks of planning, Ben and I finally hit the road for an adventure we'd been looking forward to for a long time.

Day 1, we started in California's Eastern Sierra and made our way to Monache Meadows. After a fun off-road drive, we found an incredible off-grid campsite tucked beside the beautiful South Fork Kern River, surrounded by towering pines and the peaceful sounds of flowing water.

The rest of the day was exactly what we needed. We cooked burgers, spent the afternoon fly fishing, cooled off with a dip in the crystal-clear river, and simply slowed down to enjoy everything nature had to offer.

This is the first day of our road trip, and it's only the beginning. There are plenty more miles, campsites, and adventures still ahead.
