Mama’s Funniest “NOs” to the Men Trying to Get Her Number 😂 | Dementia Brain Exercise #funny
I created the “Guy On My Job” brain exercise with intention.
I know that many people living with dementia eventually become non-verbal. On quieter days, I look for ways to spark recognition, emotion, and conversation—without pressure.
Before dementia, my mom and I used to gossip about men like it was a sport. That was our thing. So I leaned into what I knew would still reach her.
Showing her men—especially by request—gets her talking every time. 💬
Even on days when words are hard, opinions are not.
In this video, I put together a compilation of Mama’s funniest “NOs” to men I jokingly told her wanted her number. Most of the men are celebrities y’all requested—and her reactions? Absolutely priceless. 😂💅🏽
This is what connection looks like in dementia care:
✔️ Familiar topics
✔️ Laughter
✔️ Joy
✔️ Meeting them where they are
Dementia may change the way we communicate—but it doesn’t erase personality, preferences, or sass.
If this made you smile, laugh, or gave you an idea for connecting with your loved one, you’re in the right place. 💜
Which one is your favorite?
👍🏽 Like this video if Mama’s reactions made you laugh!
