The Day Melissa Vargas Shocked the Volleyball World !!! Turkey are the 2026 Women's Volleyball Nations League champions! In an incredible final in Macau, Turkey came from behind to defeat Brazil 3–1 and claim the VNL title for the second time in their history.

The final score was 23–25, 25–23, 26–24, 25–21.

Brazil started the match brilliantly and took control of the opening set. Ana Cristina led Brazil's attack as they built a huge 23–18 advantage. Turkey refused to give up, fighting all the way back to 23–22, but Brazil eventually survived the comeback and won the first set 25–23.

Turkey responded immediately in the second set. Melissa Vargas became increasingly dominant in attack, and Turkey managed to level the match by winning another extremely close set, 25–23.

The third set was the turning point of the final. Both teams fought point after point, with neither side able to create a decisive advantage. The set went beyond 25 points, but Turkey stayed composed under pressure and finally won it 26–24 to take a 2–1 lead.

Brazil desperately needed to win the fourth set to force a deciding fifth set, but Turkey continued to control the most important moments. Vargas remained almost unstoppable, while Turkey's defense and blocking prevented Brazil from producing another comeback. Turkey eventually closed the fourth set 25–21 and won the final 3–1.
