A realtor.com report grades the top 100 U.S. metro areas on home affordability and new construction. Atlanta earned a \"B\" grade, ranking 24th, thanks to strong building activity. However, new homes in Atlanta are priced significantly higher than existing ones due to rising material costs, labor shortages, and high mortgage rates.
