She’s in Memory Care With Her Feet Up… And Y’all Still Got Something to Say? 😌🛋️

Let’s talk about it — AGAIN (since there are lots of newcomers). 😤💜

Yes, my Mama lives in a memory care facility. And yes, she’s chillin’ with her feet propped up, unbothered, and living her best life.

Every time I post a video, somebody feels the need to question why she lives there when she has children.

👉🏽 Here’s what I know:

📍 Mama clearly doesn’t want to live at my house.
📍 She will NOT go to bed in my home and demands to leave.
📍 And if she were in her right mind? I believe she’d want ALL her kids to live their lives, not lose themselves in full-time caregiving that no longer serves her needs.

Dementia is not one-size-fits-all. What works for your loved one might not work for mine — and that’s okay. My job is to keep her safe, supported, and as content as possible. And as you can see… she’s doing just fine.
