AI GeneratedThis video provides a side-by-side comparison of Victoria Beckham Foundation Drops and Lisa Eldridge Enhancing Skin Tint. While both offer a natural, hydrating finish on normal skin, they differ in price, coverage, and longevity, with the Victoria Beckham product providing a more radiant, durable finish at a significantly higher cost.
Hi everyone, today I'm testing side by side the Victoria Beckham Foundation Drops and
the Lisa Eldridge Enhancing Skin Tint.
I'm going to put these two beauties side by side.
I'm going to get Victoria on this side of my face, I'm going to get Lisa on this side
of my face, and we're going to see, do they look the same?
Are they different?
How are they the same?
How are they different?
How do they look at the end of the day?
Because I will be doing a wear test, so let's get started.
I already have reviews of both of these up on my channel, I'll link them below, but Victoria
has been the most recent release, and when I tried it, I fell in love with it and immediately
thought about the Lisa Eldridge, which I also love so, so very much.
I used it all summer.
I'm almost out and very, very sad about that.
And in my review of the Victoria Beckham Foundation Drops, I did talk about the Lisa Eldridge,
but obviously I didn't apply them on my face, and I think it would be very, very helpful
to see them applied next to each other on the face so you can get a really good idea
of what each of them looks like.
I have to say I love them both very, very much, and I don't know if I'll be able to
pick a winner, so to speak, by the end of this, and that's not necessarily what this
video is about.
This video is about putting them on side by side so that you can see what the differences
are.
But you never know.
By the end of this, I may prefer one side over the other.
We're about to find out.
Before I apply to my face, let's take a look at each of these products and what their claims
are.
So the claims are, firstly, starting with the packaging.
Obviously, they're very, very different.
I do prefer the Victoria Beckham.
It's rectangular, much more easy to store than the Lisa because of its round shape.
Although it is flat on the bottom, it's not round all the way, so you can store it on
its back.
It won't roll away.
But I do prefer the packaging of the Victoria Beckham, and also I love the black exterior.
It's just very, very beautiful, and the blue on the top.
There's something very special to me about the Victoria packaging versus the Lisa packaging.
But aside from packaging, we're going to talk about what is inside and what the claims of
these products are.
You have to shake them both up very, very well, and I wanted to swatches of them side
by side so you can see the difference in shade and consistency.
OK, so we have Victoria Beckham in five light over here, and we have Lisa in T8 over here.
As you can see, they're both pretty runny, very, very lightweight formulas.
The Victoria goes a very, very long way.
These were just two drops of each, and the Victoria, as well as the Lisa, a little bit
goes a very, very long way with them, and they're just both gorgeous.
They really, really are.
You get the same amount of product in each 30 mils or one fluid ounce, but the Lisa Eldridge
is $49 U.S. and the Victoria Beckham is $110 U.S., more than double the price.
Now, Victoria has the Augustinus batter skincare in here, but Lisa Eldridge also is skincare
based, so both skincare based, but the Victoria comes with the Augustinus batter ingredients
in it, which accounts for the more expensive price tag because the Augustinus batter skincare
line is astronomically expensive.
Both claim to have a very lightweight, natural skin perfecting finish.
20 shades available in Lisa, 19 shades available in Victoria.
Both claim to have a light coverage, but the Victoria says it's buildable to a medium.
This does say it's a foundation, whereas Lisa claims to be a skin tint, so they are different
in that way.
They're both fragrance free, which is wonderful.
Lisa's made in France and Victoria's made in Italy.
Victoria has a 12 hour wear claim, whereas there's no wear time claim on Lisa.
So that's what we are working with.
Most importantly, how do they look on the face?
I'm going to start with the Victoria Beckham, and I'm going to apply to this side of my
face with a brush.
You can apply with your fingers or a brush with both of these products.
I go back and forth.
Sometimes I apply with my fingers, sometimes I apply with a brush.
For today, I'm going to apply with a brush, and I'm going to take two drops.
I'm going to be fair and apply the same amount of the Lisa when I get to Lisa, but I'm just
going to dab this all over my face.
BK Beauty N17 and get this on.
I have normal skin.
I'm not wearing a primer.
I'm not going to wear a primer because you don't need a primer with either of these products.
And so with this first layer, I get a nice light coverage and it goes on so smoothly,
so beautifully.
And at this point is when I go in and build this because I can leave it here at this very
light coverage or I can just go back into the areas where I need just a little bit more
coverage.
That was even too much.
I'm going to spread it out a little bit more and build in the areas where I need it most,
which is usually right around here where I have some discoloration, some sunspots.
And this feels like skin care feels moisturizing.
It feels beautiful on the skin, like you're giving your skin a drink of water.
It's absolutely gorgeous looking, too.
And I have been wearing this a lot.
I've been wearing it during the day.
I've worn it on nights out, and it definitely does the trick day or night, definitely.
And it just leaves such a beautiful finish to the skin.
It is luminous, but it's not sticky.
It feels like I have moisturizer on my face and this will continue to dry down and it
won't feel even as sticky as it feels right now, which isn't sticky.
It just feels like I have moisturizer on.
So this sinks right in to the skin and it just has a beautiful veil of coverage.
I can still see some of my imperfections coming through.
I could definitely build it up even more, but I just love the way that it looks.
My skin looks smooth.
It feels nourished.
It's amazing.
And also, it doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup.
So I've built this now to a light to medium coverage, I would say, and I'm going to leave
it here.
It does have a luminous finish, so when I turn my head, it reflects the light in a way
that gives a glow, but it is not sticky and it is not greasy and it is not oily.
Feeling or looking, it is stunning, stunning.
I have been hearing that some people find this to be greasy and I got to tell you, this
has not been my experience at all, at all with this foundation and it is a foundation.
All right.
So we have Victoria on this side.
So natural, so natural.
I love it.
Obviously nothing on this side, so let's get to applying Lisa Eldridge on this side of
the face.
And I'm going to start with the two drops.
Just oops.
This one is a little bit more runny than the Victoria and a little bit thinner in consistency.
Just a little bit.
Not by much, though.
And I'm going to need more than those two drops to do this.
Even though both go a very, very long way, you don't need a lot.
I need a little bit more with the Lisa BK Beauty 101 to get this on this side of the
face and off the bat, I'm noticing a lighter coverage, but I will build this up as well
because you can build this up in the areas that you need on Lisa's website.
It does say that this has a luminous finish.
I find that it has a very natural finish, not as luminous as the Victoria.
And I can see that clear as day, clear as day, side by side on my face when I'm looking
at these right next to each other.
It's quite clear that that's the case.
OK, a little bit more Lisa, and I'm just going to add a little bit more right here so that
we can build in this problem area of mine.
This also looks so, so good.
It feels just as good.
It feels just as nourishing and moisturizing and also feels like you have nothing on the
skin.
I think this is a magical formula because you don't see it.
You put it on.
You don't see it at all.
And yet it goes in and does something just incredible to your complexion.
Now, in terms of shade, the Lisa Eldridge in T8 is a little bit lighter than Five Light
in Victoria Beckham.
Both work.
When I look at them side by side, though, I would say that a better match for me is
the Five Light in the Victoria.
Although if you took this side of my face away, this would work as well.
In the summertime, I did have to deepen this up.
And as the winter approaches and I lose more and more and more of whatever's left of my
tan, this will eventually be a much better match.
It's not bad right now.
And perhaps the Victoria might end up being a little bit darker at that point.
But at this point right now, where I am with my skin, the Victoria is slightly deeper in
Five Light versus T8 in the Lisa Eldridge.
But both work.
Both work.
I don't have an issue with either shade at this point.
It's just so apparent when I'm looking at myself.
Not a stark difference, but I can tell.
So the Lisa has a lighter coverage than the Victoria Beckham, but not by much.
But I can't say I feel like the coverage is a little bit more perfecting on this side
versus the Lisa side.
But again, skin tint versus foundation, right?
But for a foundation, works and feels kind of like a skin tint.
So Lisa also sinks into the skin.
I don't feel any stickiness.
I feel like my skin is nourished.
It feels great.
It looks great.
Everything looks beautiful.
And the finish.
So like I mentioned, I have a glow on the Victoria Beckham side.
On the Lisa side, it's not matte.
It's not matte.
There is a little bit of a glow, but nothing compared to the Victoria side.
I would say it's a very, very natural finish.
It's not matte.
It's not flat.
It's healthy looking and just gorgeous.
They're both gorgeous.
They really are.
Before I add some bronzer and blush, let's take a closer look.
This is Victoria and this is Lisa.
Victoria and Lisa.
Okay, I'm going to apply some bronzer now.
I'm going to apply the Dior.
It is a matte bronzer.
I don't want to add a bronzer that has any luminosity or anything to it.
Just to get some bronze on the face.
This is in 04 Warm Matte.
The only other makeup that I had on, I can't remember if I mentioned before I started this,
is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer.
And my eye makeup, the makeup by Mario Liquid Shadows in Chestnut
and the Victoria Beckham Liner in Cocoa.
That is all.
And my skincare.
I think I mentioned that.
Okay, for blush, another matte blush, the Hong Bang Go in Second Language.
Just a little dusting of it.
Nothing crazy.
I'm going to add some color to my lips too because I'm not looking very alive right now.
I'm going to use the Hong Bang Go Liner that I recently discovered.
It's very, very nice.
And I think it's called Follow the Natural Shape.
I can't read.
I can't read it.
I know that there is a stripe on here that's supposed to let you know what color you're
picking out of your collection, but I wouldn't know what the name of it is.
And I can't read it because it's red on red.
I think it's called Follow the Natural Shape.
And I'm going to add the Hong Bang Go Lipstick in Wild Rose.
Gorgeous.
So creamy.
So, so creamy and comfortable.
Beautiful, beautiful.
I do have normal skin and typically I'll powder right here.
But I'm not going to powder today.
I want to see how these do without any powder at all.
I am going to do a wear test today.
I do film in natural light.
So I'm going to take this wear test as long as the daylight allows.
So I'm going to go about my day now.
I have lots to do today and I will be back and see what we're looking like.
Oh, hi, I'm back.
This is as long as I can take the wear test.
We're about nine hours in right now.
So let's take a look at these guys.
So this is what I'm noticing.
A little bit of shine just right here and right here between my brows and my chin is faded.
But this is equal on either side.
I don't have more on one side than I do on the other.
It's exactly the same on both sides.
Normally, I do powder in those areas.
But for this test, I wanted to forego the powder and see how they did without powder.
So it would be probably a good idea to powder areas that you might get shiny.
Now, it's very little shine.
It's nothing crazy.
And as I mentioned, I do have normal skin.
If I do get any shininess, it will be in those areas.
So these are both still looking gorgeous.
They're both long wearing.
But the Victoria Beckham hangs on a little bit longer than the Lisa.
The Lisa I've been using for a few months now.
I can tell you that you can get a really good day out of it at this point at nine hours.
I'm just noticing just a slight bit of fading.
The Victoria I've taken past 12 hours and it doesn't budge.
It looks exactly the same at the end of the day as it did when you first applied it.
So there's a little bit of a difference there.
Again, I'm going to point out the fact that the Victoria Beckham is a foundation
and the Lisa Eldridge is a skin tint.
Overall, you're going to get a little more coverage from Victoria and you're going to
get a radiant finish, whereas with the Lisa, it's a lighter coverage and you get a very
natural finish.
But beyond that, they're both so incredibly beautiful the way they melt into the skin,
the way they perfect the skin and the way they keep your skin hydrated and just gorgeous
throughout the day.
If you twisted my arm and made me pick, I probably would lean towards the Victoria
Beckham.
But by a small margin, I would reach for the Lisa day to day.
Definitely Victoria I could wear during the day as well.
But if it was for the evening, a night out, say I would definitely lean towards the Victoria
only because you're able to get that little bit of extra coverage from the Victoria.
Otherwise, they just both look so, so beautiful.
I love them both.
They both perform so well.
They both look beautiful on the skin.
You really can't go wrong.
Just going to give you one last look at Lisa and Victoria.
And at this point, we're about nine and a half hours in because I've been blabbing.
I hope seeing these two side by side is helpful, giving you a visual of what they look like
next to each other.
Even for me, it's helpful to see them side by side.
I get an extremely good idea of when I would want to use one product versus another, their
finishes, their longevity, et cetera, et cetera.
So I love doing these side by sides, and I think I might make it a series.
So if you have any two foundations that you would like to see side by side, please do
let me know in the comments and I'll start a little series and I'll give it a cute little
name.
I'll have to come up with one, but glad to do it because I hope it's helpful for you,
but it's also very helpful for me.
These are just two very outstanding products.
I love them both.
Like I mentioned, more than double the price for the Victoria Beckham.
So if a finish like Lisa's is your jam, then I would go with the Lisa.
If the finish of the Victoria is more up your alley, then I would go with the Victoria.
Again, very, very high price tag, a little bit overpriced if you ask me, but it is what
it is.
That is it.
That is all for this video.
I really hope you found it helpful.
As always, thank you so, so much for watching.
