AI GeneratedThe creator demonstrates how to sketch a 3D bathroom layout using the Feather 3D app. The video covers the fundamental workflow of using guides to create 3D shapes, managing layers for organization, utilizing updated selection and mirroring tools, and applying colors. It concludes with a demonstration of the new sequence tool for creating animated views of the model.
Hey friends, welcome back.
In today's video I will be sketching my bathroom in three dimensions using the app Feather 3D.
I have talked about it before where I explained the different tools and the things you can do
with this innovative app. You can check out the video I will link in the description.
So since then there have been some updates like there are more brushes, more settings
and new features like sequence that I will show you in the end.
So I'm going to sketch this bathroom.
I start by tapping on the pencil icon on the top right corner of my screen.
A little reminder before making a stroke you need first to draw a guide.
For example I want to draw a box, right?
There are different ways to do it.
First I can make a guide like this then draw each line of the box one by one.
But another way would be to make a guide like this
then draw the whole side of the box.
So I will have to draw four guides.
As I said there are a lot of ways to do it.
You can also combine all the guides.
Anyway now I have my box which are actually the walls of my bathroom.
Here's the door.
I will make a quick sketch of the plan.
Here's the sink, the shower and the toilet.
I forgot to create a new layer first but I can select the plan and add them to a new layer.
It's always better to create a new layer for every new things you are adding.
So you can select and hide them whenever you want to.
I will now complete the shower.
Some of you asked me to slow down my videos so I will try to not be fast this time.
If you are like me and you get easily bored feel free to speed the video.
Now here's the sink.
Here's the mirror.
Now I'm not in a good day to draw beautiful circles so you can
make straight lines and perfect circle by tapping on the pencil icon again like this.
In my last video I said that I will explain the select and mirror tools later
but I just realized they also changed with the update.
I really prefer this version though it's more intuitive.
You can move your objects, you can rescale it, you can also rotate it around an axis.
All right let's draw the toilet.
You can also make circular guides.
Feel free to experiment with the app.
As someone who used Procreate for years drawing in 2D,
I find it really interesting and I like to see that it's getting better and better every day.
I would like to make some of the object with thicker lines
so I select them then change the thickness, colors and opacity.
Adding some details.
So this is the overall sketch.
I would like to fix some parts now.
Maybe thicken some lines and add some notes here and there.
You can also add some dimensions.
I would like to color some parts.
For this I should also create guides but then use the brushes.
I like the marker for coloring.
Another thing is you can change the background color.
You can upload any image here.
I like the craft background.
It really gives a nice view and the other I love is the black one.
For this of course I had to change the colors of all my lines to white
otherwise we couldn't see anything.
Last thing I would like to show you is the sequence tool.
Tap the icon with three lines on the top left corner of the screen and tap on sequence.
Choose a view then tap on plus to save each one of them.
When you are done you can tap on play then see the results.
I really like this.
So I hope you like this quick tutorial.
I had a lot of fun creating it so please feel free to ask if you have any questions.
I will be happy to answer.
Until next time you can check out these videos here.
See you!
