Liability Insurance for your business – Part 1 of 2 - Bill Mollica

In today’s highly litigious society, understanding business liability insurance, how it can protect you, and how to effectively procure it for your business is a necessity. Many of us are misinformed on how insurance is marketed, priced, and functions, especially when a claim occurs. Having an accurate and basic knowledge of how the insurance industry works, and how it’s designed to respond to claims etc. will allow you to secure the coverage your business requires with confidence and proficiency.
In this fast-paced webinar, participants will gain a greater understanding of the concept of insurance, its purpose, what is and is not insurable (and why), and how to strategize your insurance procurement process.
• Learn how the insurance marketplace works, and how to effectively access it.
• Learn how to accurately represent your exposures to potential insurers.
• Discover how the underwriter assesses your risk, what they look for, how the pricing is determined, etc. so you know how to better protect your business, and, in turn, also better manage and mitigate your insurance costs.
Prior to the webinar, give thought to:
• What scenarios worry you should they happen to your business? (“What keeps you up at night?”)
• How much risk can you reasonably retain through deductibles and retentions?
• How much protection do you realistically need? How much limit is enough?
