US president Donald Trump has said he was "surprised" that five men arrested near an RAF airbase in Gloucestershire used by the US to launch attacks on Iran were released on bail.
Five men from London, all UK nationals in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of explosive and terrorism offences after armed police stopped three vans in the early hours of Sunday near the village of Whelford in Gloucestershire, not far from the site of the airbase used by the United States Air Force (USAF).
About 85 households near RAF Fairford who were evacuated were able to return home on Monday evening, Gloucestershire Police said.
