Deadly East Palo Alto crash: Family members speak

A fatal multi-car collision occurred Tuesday morning at the intersection of Bay and University in East Palo Alto. A minivan veered into oncoming traffic, striking six other vehicles. The driver and his passenger both died, while three others were injured. Family members believe a medical emergency, specifically a heart attack, caused the crash.
