This is Lego Batman, and this is Lego Superman, and in this video I'm building mech armies
for each superhero to see which team is the strongest.
I don't have all the minifigures I need for these mechs, so the first thing I bought is
the Batman Tumbler for $60.
The Tumbler looks pretty good at this scale, and I like how much interior space it has.
You also get a spotlight for the Bat-Signal, and three minifigures including Batman with
a rubbery cape, Two-Face, and the Joker, which is the main reason I bought the set.
I want to make a purple mech for this villain to match his aesthetic.
I started by putting together this torso piece with attachment spots for arms and legs.
I decided to keep the upper and lower arms really simple so they aren't too bulky and
they have lots of room for posing.
I built a hand with some clawed fingertips, attached the arm to the torso, and copied
the design over to the other side.
I'm using a t-bar for the hip connection, which will connect to a double clip piece
at the top of the leg.
I connected an armored shin and built a wide foot for good stability, and got everything
attached with a mirrored leg on the left.
I built a canister to store laughing gas and mounted it to the back of the mech, and after
that I put the Joker in the pilot position and locked him in place.
I used a hose piece with some handles so the mech can be controlled, and added some droid
arms as harnesses for the Joker's upper body.
I decided to build a gas cannon with round bricks and grills, and connected it to the
laughing gas canister, but just one cannon didn't seem like enough.
I built another one so the Joker can dual wield, and this mech is done.
I love the aesthetic of this build, and I feel like it really fits the character of
the Joker.
For its size, the mech is actually quite poseable, and it would be pretty effective in battle
as a fast moving unit with smoke screen and laughing gas attacks.
I'm teaming villains up with their hero counterparts for this video for a temporary alliance, so
the Joker is going into Batman's army.
The first addition to Superman's army is this small Superman mech which came out a
few months ago.
It's a pretty standard LEGO mech design at this size, and it comes with a jetpack.
This works for now, but I want to build a better version.
I started by putting together the cockpit with some spaced out shoulder joints, and
I used the front armor plating from the smaller mech with the printed Superman logo tile.
I clipped on some more armor plating by Superman's head, and grabbed some rounded shoulder armor
to bulk up the frame.
I built a waist assembly with some flared hips and armor on the front, and attached
it to the torso.
Superman is a buff superhero, so I built some bulky upper legs in blue, and then I built
his shins in red to match the look of his long boots.
I built a foot with some armor plates and winged backs, and after connecting it to the
rest of the leg, I snapped it to the hip.
I copied the design to the other side, and I feel like the frame is really taking shape.
I put some blue arms together with lots of pointy armor pieces, and I made some hands
with the same claw pieces used on the smaller mech.
I connected both arms to the shoulders, and the last thing I want to include are some
wings.
I found some stickered panel pieces that fit the vibe I'm going for here, and I connected
them to the back of the mech with some Technic pieces, finishing off the build so it's
ready for battle.
I actually really like how this mech turned out.
Even though it's not too complex, it has a unique shape to it, and I love the wings
on the back.
Superman definitely doesn't actually need a mech to win battles with all of his overpowered
abilities, but a mech could help him out with what he has to face off against soon in Batman's
army.
The small Superman mech also came with this Lex Luthor minifigure, so I decided he should
have a mech too.
Lego actually made a Lex Luthor mech all the way back in 2017, and it comes with some great
stuff.
You get Batman with a jetpack, Wonder Woman, Cheetah, Firestorm, and a pretty basic Lex
Luthor.
The mech is built around this escape pod that attaches to the body, which has a green and
purple color scheme that looks great.
There's a jetpack, axe, and rotary cannon, and overall, I think this build is a lot of
fun for what it is.
It actually scales really well with my bigger Superman mech, and makes a great addition
to the army.
Moving back over to Batman, I also bought the small version of the Batman mech from
a few months ago, which is, again, pretty basic.
You only get one minifigure, which is kinda lame, but he has a cool jetpack and is a similar
size to the Joker, but that's not a fair matchup against Superman's army.
To fix this, I got another Lego set, which comes with a way bigger Batman mech.
This set came out in 2019, and it also includes a Poison Ivy mech, which I think is kinda
lame because it's basically just a tree, but I guess we'll add it to the army anyways.
You get the Flash and Firefly included, but the best part is obviously this big Batman
mech.
It has a saw blade and a backmounted net launcher, which you can use to take down enemies and
capture them.
This mech helps even things out a little bit, so let's keep adding to Superman's army
with the next build.
I borrowed this crypto figure from my friend Carson because it got way more expensive since
the Superman movie came out, and he was one of the best parts, so I think he needs his
own mech.
I started by building a sloped cockpit area with 4 socket attachment points for legs,
and I capped off the back with a pointed wedge brick.
I rounded things off with some curved slopes, and I put Crypto in the pilot position.
I built a pointed section on the front of the mech, and connected a windscreen piece
to keep Crypto safe during battle.
Next I attached some red panel pieces to the back of the mech to mimic his cape, and then
I moved on to the legs.
I used large ball joint pieces, and connected them together with slopes and a pointed wedge
piece at the top.
I constructed the foot with wedge bricks and some slopes, and connected it to the leg.
After attaching all 4 legs to the body, I added a couple of blaster cannons to the front
of the mech, and this build is done.
This was a fun challenge, and it's going to make a great companion for my upgraded
Superman mech.
I like the color scheme, and the stance makes it feel like a tank.
It adds some really good variety to the army, and Crypto is ready to do some serious damage.
The next character I want to add to Superman's mech army is Mr. Terrific.
Lego hasn't made a minifigure for him, so I got this custom version, and it looks pretty
accurate so I'll run with it.
In the movie he has a levitating chair that he flies around in, so I want to use that
same concept and build a floating mech.
To start with, I built a small platform with a few ball joint attachments, and after putting
Mr. Terrific in the pilot position, I attached a control handle and some small repulsors
on the back so he can fly around fast.
In the movie he has T-spheres, which he can use as weapons, so I grabbed some small technic
spheres and built a mounting point for them.
I connected them to the back of the mech for storage, and then I started on the arms.
I decided to keep things simple using a fixed arm joint with a few small armor pieces.
I built a basic hand with 4 fingers, and attached the first arm to the side of the torso.
I built 3 more arms to give the mech more combat power, and then I worked on building
a display base.
I used a clear bar piece to boost the mech to the right height, and this build is finished.
This is a fun twist on Mr. Terrific's hover chair, and I feel like I could actually see
him using something like this in an alternate universe.
I'm happy I was able to make it float, and I think it's a great addition to Superman's
mech army.
To add some more forces to Batman's side of things, I picked up this Batmobile based
on the animated series.
I love this build because it looks really nice on display, but it also has a feature
where the fire in the exhaust spins as you drive the vehicle forward.
The Batman minifigure that it comes with looks great, but we already have a few Batman mechs,
so let's start with Mr. Freeze.
There's actually a really cool Mr. Freeze mech from Gotham Knights, and I have the perfect
idea for how I can make something similar.
I bought this Spider Tank set a while ago that comes with a couple Mandalorians and
Grogu, but I think the main build in this set makes for a perfect starting point.
First I removed the head, and then I pulled off both claws since I won't be needing
them.
I removed the stud shooters, and then I filled the middle in with some bricks to create a
flat surface.
Next, I attached a turntable plate and round brick for the driver section, and then I built
a large rotary cannon on the side.
I built a small missile launcher for the other side, and then I started working on the cockpit.
I went for a pointy front with a couple of blaster barrels, and after attaching it to
the base, my mod is finished.
This was a really quick modification to put together, but I love the result.
It's similar to the version from the video game, but I think it's still unique enough,
and it worked perfectly to use the Spider Tank as a base for this build to save some
time.
I love how it looks with all the other mechs, but let's keep moving and build something
else.
Up next, I want to make a mech for Harley Quinn.
She has a very recognizable color scheme, so I decided to try and match it with the
torso of this mech.
I used rounded armor pieces to build around the pilot area, and then I worked on the arms.
I built a small shoulder for extra articulation, and attached an upper and lower arm to a black
hand before connecting the assembly to a mounting point.
I mirrored the design to the other side while trying to stick with an accurate color scheme,
and then I built some basic hips to create a mounting spot for the legs.
I used a ridged armor piece for the upper thigh, tapered down to the lower leg, and
then added some large feet for stability.
I got both legs connected, and the last thing to do is build a weapon.
I used a bunch of rounded bricks and bars to build a supersized hammer, and added some
fire to the back to make it rocket powered for extra damage.
This mech looks pretty funny to me with it's weird stance, but I think it works, and I'm
glad I had the parts I needed to replicate the color scheme of the minifigure.
The weapon she has definitely works well for this build, and I think overall it's a solid
addition to Batman's army.
Let me know which mech army you think would win in a fight, and if I missed anybody, tell
