LindellTV’s Alison Steinberg confronted Sen. Peter Welch after he argued Congress should stop “constantly relitigating what happened in COVID” and focus on moving forward.
Alison pointed to Sen. Ron Johnson’s recent roundtable, where patients and families shared allegations of harmful hospital protocols, treatment disputes and decisions made without consent. Johnson’s office described the event as its first COVID roundtable devoted entirely to what happened inside hospitals.
Welch acknowledged that mistakes were made but rejected the idea that pandemic-era decisions were broadly responsible for COVID deaths:
“A lot of people did lose their lives. But most of that was because of the disease, not because of decisions that various people made.”
