Georgia leaf watch: First fall colors peek through the green

The video provides an early update on the 2026 fall foliage season in Georgia. While only about 1% of colors have changed statewide, early signs of red, yellow, and brown are appearing in the northeast mountains and north-central regions. Viewers are encouraged to take scenic drives this weekend, particularly around Hiawassee, to catch the initial shifts in color.
