Margit Füreder Painter Austria 1954
Margit Füreder's paintings bring mystery and allure to seemingly insignificant moments. Taking themes from Austrian television, Füreder captures a moment and transfers it to canvas, transforming the image with overlays of text, pressure techniques, and paint. Confronting various essential conditions of being human, Füreder explores the border between life and death, eroticism and sleep, hope and mystery.
