The process covers creating geometric backgrounds, utilizing clipping masks, applying blend effects, and enhancing images with outer glows and textures to achieve a professional, dynamic layout.
Hi everyone. In this video I'll teach you how to create a modern food poster design in Adobe
Illustrator. The artboard size is 1080 by 1350. I have these colors which I'll use for this design.
Select the rectangle tool and click on the artboard. Add the 1500 width and 400 height.
Select the rectangle, then go to the object menu, path, and offset path.
Add a negative offset. Change the stroke color to white. Then convert it to a dashed line.
Go to the type tool and type your text. Change its case to uppercase. Set the font to Gotham Bold.
Select the rectangle and apply the orange color to it using the eyedropper tool.
Apply the second color to the text. Place the text in the middle of the rectangle.
Then, go to the file menu and select place. Select your image and click on the place button.
Select all elements, right click, and choose group. Double click on the rotate tool.
Set the angle and hit ok. Go to the rectangle tool and draw a rectangle the same size as the
artboard. Select all elements, right click on them, and choose make clipping mask. Create another
rectangle. Right click on it, select arrange, and center back. Select the text using the direct
selection tool. Edit and copy. Then, paste in front. Apply the third color to it. Hold the alt
button to create a copy of it. Select both, go to the object menu, blend, and make. Go to blend and
options. Set the specified steps to five. Right click on it and cut. Double click on the design
to enter isolation mode. Then, paste in back. Adjust it. Go to the ellipse tool and draw a circle.
Add a white outline to it. Then, change the outline to a brush. Go to the object menu and
expand appearance. Then, expand again. Apply the orange color to it. Go to the effect menu,
stylize, and outer glow. Follow the provided settings. Apply the outer glow to the biryani
image as well. Now, it's time to add other text. Follow my text settings. Draw a curved line using
the pen tool. Change the filter outline and apply the brush to it. Go to the file menu again and
select place. Hold the control button to select the images and click on the place button. Follow
my placement process. Select these pngs. Go to the effect menu, blur, and radial blur. Edit and cut.
Double click on the design and paste in front. Finally, place the texture image. Adjust its size.
Change the blend mode to multiply. Bring down its opacity to 40 percent.
And that's it. Share your thoughts on this design.
