AI GeneratedArvid discusses his performance and team strategy following a qualifying session. Despite dealing with penalties and sacrificing a strong Q1 lap for the team's benefit, he expresses satisfaction with his pace and his extensive preparation for the upcoming race.
Hey Arvid, some nice teamwork out there in a session where I know you do little to be
gay for a bit with your penalties, so just how happy are you with the way you handled
what you could do out there?
Yeah, I think it was decent. It is a little bit of a tough pill to swallow sometimes,
but I did what was in the best interest of the team. They've done a lot to support me
this year and helped me out, so I was happy to do it for them. For sure, it's a bit of
a shame that Liam wasn't able to get through to Q3, but it is what it is. I think on my
side I'm reasonably happy. My lap in Q1 that I was on was really good. I was told to abort.
I think on my side I'm happy with the pace, considering I've only done about five push
laps this week. We know our battles tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to the race.
So how are you feeling about that battle tomorrow? It sounds like, like you said, you're focusing
on the long-run pace. You must have a good feel of what you've got underneath you for
tomorrow.
For sure. It's way more long-run laps than I've ever done a race before. In Baku I didn't
do a single one before the race, and obviously today I've done... This week I think 90% of
my laps have been on... 95% even have been on high fuel, so I feel like I've got a good
insight to what to expect, but I still think there's going to be a lot of surprises. There's
going to be a lot of things going on tomorrow. There's the hard we've never driven, there's
going to be many pit stops, the red that you never know, so I'm looking forward to it.
