Yamandu Costa and Duo Palma Sandoval

Milonga para Taz is a song I made in honor of the great musician Ricardo Martins, from Santana do Livramento, who left us too soon.
Ricardo was an outstanding musician: guitarist, accordionist, composer and a great representative of the music of our southern lands. He left behind very beautiful songs and a special contribution to regional music.
I wrote this milonga on the day of his death. Recently, my friends from Duo Palma Sandoval stopped by my house in Lisbon and I had the opportunity to show them this composition. From this meeting, the idea of recording this tribute together came about, bringing to music the language of the Gaucho guitar and our borders.
Duo Palma Sandoval is made up of great musicians from Mendoza, Argentina, a region also known for its musical tradition and wine, and they were on tour in Europe when we met.
It was a very special meeting, one that only music can provide.
I leave this record here with great affection, in memory of Ricardo Martins.
