Hi guys, welcome back to our channel. In the last video we explored Sevilla. We are now
continuing our road trip heading to our next destination Granada. It was about two and a half
to three hour drive to Granada. During the drive you will come across very scenic mountain views.
We are now approaching Granada.
This is a quick tour of our apartment. We had a very spacious living room.
This is the main bedroom. This leads us to our second bedroom. This bedroom had two single beds
and a view of the vibrant streets of Granada. This is the final bedroom which comes with a
bathroom. There is also a second bathroom provided in the apartment. The kitchen was spacious and had
all necessary items. We absolutely loved our stay at the apartment. The owner was really nice.
We would definitely recommend staying at this apartment during your visit to Granada. Here
are a few clips of the center. It was very busy, lively and touristy area. We are now heading for
dinner.
After dinner we continued to explore Granada at night. It was still very busy at night.
We are now heading back to our apartment to rest up for a long day tomorrow.
The next morning we made our way to the bus stop. We are visiting the Alhambra and to get there
the best route is by bus. As another option you could drive up by car. Walking to the Alhambra
from Plaza Nueva is not suitable at all as the roads are very steep. The bus ticket costs one
euro sixty cent for one way. If you decide to return within an hour your return is covered in
ticket price. Here are a few clips from the bus ride. The bus stops just outside the ticketing
office. It is important that you book your tickets well in advance as tickets get sold out quickly.
We have provided the link regarding ticket information in the description of this video.
On the other hand you can always buy your ticket in person.
The full price of the ticket is 24 euro or 12 euro if you're only visiting one area.
You must bring valid ID, your passport with you to enter. You will be denied entry if you fail
to present your ID. Now that we have passed security you can enjoy the views that we have
captured. The Alhambra is a masterpiece which blends royal islamic palaces, beautiful gardens
and fortresses on one hill top sites. The Alhambra was originally designed as a military zone.
It later became the royal residence and court of Ghana in the mid 13th century.
This was after the establishment of the Nasride kingdom and the construction of the first palace
by the founding Alhambra. The name Alhambra means red castle. The construction of the palaces dates
back to the 14th century and is the work of two great kings Yusuf I and Muhammad V.
The Alhambra became a christian court in 1492 when the Khasid monarchs conquered Granada.
Every wall features detailed carvings, geometric styles and arabic poetry or quranic verses.
This is the way which leads you to the Alhambra palaces.
We are now taking the bus down to our next location.
This is the main courtyard of the palace.
Here are some souvenirs which you can buy.
Another museum with some historic pieces.
This is the beautiful viewpoint of Granada from San Nicolas. We then took the bus down to Plaza
Nueva. There were orange trees everywhere. And that's all for our Granada video. We will now
continue our journey through Spain. Please like, comment, share and subscribe.
And I will meet you in the next video. Bye-bye.
