Here it is. Apple's new iPhone Duo.
Not the old fold, not the old iPhone Duo. This is the
incredible device. And honestly, this is pretty mind-blowing.
You have a 5.4-inch display on the
outside, 7.6-inch display on the inside.
Largest display ever on an iPhone. I don't know if you
can notice this, but Apple's done some pretty wild stuff here.
There's no discernible crease.
Why? Because they went with a nanotexture on the display,
so there's basically no reflection.
That's really something new. Inside is the A20 Pro chip.
It's going to be fast. It's going to be all ready for Siri AI.
There are cameras on the outside. Now,
the two cameras are 48-megapixel main and a 2x optical zoom camera.
So that means that you're going to get the zoom
that you were hoping for. It's not 4x zoom.
you have a camera on the outside that's
a center stage camera on the outside and you have a hidden
FaceTime camera on the inside
so you can't see it this device is powerful it's powerful enough
for games i was playing like 3d games basically
console level games it's starting at 1999 for 256
gigabytes of storage this is really
the most expensive iphone ever oh by the way yes it is
the thinnest iPhone ever. You can see it right here.
Thin, flat. Apple has officially entered
the folding space. This is a shot across the bow for Samsung,
which has been doing it for
a really long time. It's an exciting phone.
It's an expensive phone. Honestly, I'm kind of excited
by what I'm seeing here.
But how does it compare to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8? Well, these are
two passport-shaped phones that fold out into 7.6-inch tablets,
and they both cost close to
two thousand dollars but there
are some key differences you should be aware of.
At 5.4 inches the iPhone Duo's cover display
is a touch smaller than the Z Fold 8's 5.5 inch
cover display and Apple's phone has asymmetrical bezels where
the Galaxy is straight edged all the
way around. Both displays on the Duo have a 1.4 to 1 aspect ratio
while the Z Fold 8 has a 10 by 16
ratio on its cover screen and a 4 by 3 ratio on its inner screen.
The Duo is also over 50 grams
heavier than the Z Fold 8 and it's also slightly thicker
when both folded and unfolded but Apple's
titanium phone gets a superior IP68 durability rating
to the aluminium Galaxy's IP48 rating.
Both phones have foldable specific software
with the Z Fold 8 offering deep multitasking features
and the Duo featuring a really unique folding animation
and support for the Apple Pencil.
Then finally on cameras, both the Duo and Z Fold 8 get two rear lenses,
a 48 megapixel wide and ultra wide for the iPhone
and a 50 megapixel wide and ultra wide for the
Samsung. Neither phone gets a telephoto camera
which is a pretty big trade-off if you're
if you're spending close to $2,000.
iPhone Duo in the middle of Apple Park
where Apple has just announced a whole bunch of other stuff
including new Apple Watches, new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
This is the star of the show, the iPhone Duo.
Let's check it out.
