Are you dogs ready to go camping?! We went on an absolute dream of a trip up in the incredible Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and we brought you all along for the ride! The fall colors were popping, the rivers were running high, and the dogs were in absolute heaven. Kira even decided she needed a drink so badly that she pulled me straight into the deep water at Sturgeon Gorge Falls! Life is short, make memories with your dogs, right?

The footage you see of us hiking down those narrow paths and bouncing our way to the top of Mount Arvon was all shot in gorgeous 4K 60fps on this tiny but mighty camera. The Rocksteady feature is incredible when you've got chaotic huskies pulling you in every direction, and I love that it's waterproof down to 65 feet right out of the box!
We packed up the rig, left Van Riper State Park, and hit so many amazing spots on this adventure. From catching the breeze at the gorgeous Thomas Rock scenic overlook to wading in the rushing water at Yellow Dog River Falls, this trip was one for the books. Jamie even had to climb on the roof of the RV to sweep off everything the critters threw up there before we left, but every second was worth it!
UPPER PENINSULA CAMPING ITINERARY
Basecamp: Van Riper State Park
Stop A: Sturgeon Gorge Falls (steep switchback trails, great water access)
Stop B: Thomas Rock Scenic Overlook (beautiful stairs, stunning views of the changing leaves)
Stop C: Yellow Dog River Falls (narrow, remote path leading to beautiful river views)
Stop D: Mount Arvon (The highest point in Michigan via a very bumpy dirt road!)
Stop E: Black River Falls (Wet, slippery rocks but a gorgeous waterfall payoff)
