Set within a late 19th-century building in the western suburbs of Paris, interior architect Anthony Aoun transformed his own 43sqm/463sqft apartment by removing almost all of its internal walls,
creating one continuous space rather than a series of separate rooms. The kitchen was relocated into the open living area, where a large custom bookshelf incorporates generous storage and a hidden pull-out desk. A full-height mirrored sliding door provides separation for the bedroom when needed, then slides away to reconnect the bedroom with the rest of the apartment. An original timber beam discovered during demolition was restored, with warm wood, green accents, black details and antique-style mirrors bringing character and depth to the interior.
