Hi, designers. Today, I'm going to show you how
to remove semi-transparent pixels from your PNG file.
If you don't know, those semi-transparent pixels can cause
a problem in DTF printing.
They let the white underbase show through,
which creates an unwanted white halo around your design.
So let's fix that.
First, go to Layer, then Layer Mask, and click from Transparency.
Now you'll see the mask created from the transparent areas of your design.
Next, go to Image, then Adjustments, and choose Threshold.
As soon as you apply it, those semi-transparent pixels turn into solid, clean edges.
If the result looks a little rough on screen, don't worry.
At 300 DPI, it will print nice and clean.
You can also adjust the threshold level slightly,
especially if your design has small text or fine details.
Once it looks good, click OK.
Now your file is ready to export.
Go to File, then Export, and choose Quick Export as PNG.
And that's it, your PNG is now cleaner and more ready for DTF printing.
Thanks for watching, and don't forget
