Governor Ferguson sends letter to ferry engine-room workers union

Governor Bob Ferguson is addressing service disruptions at Washington State Ferries after a wave of sick calls led to the cancellation of 13 of 18 routes. While the Governor has ordered a salary survey for below-deck crews to aid future negotiations, he emphasized that current budget constraints prevent an immediate financial resolution. Operations have since returned to normal.
