Shane Beamer reacts after South Carolina win over Florida

All right, congrats to our congrats, congrats to us. Best of luck, I should say to Coach Sumrall and Florida. They got a really good team. Wish them well the rest of the way. Not a whole lot to have to say from an opening statement. We got Andy Staples here. My God. Got from an opening statement standpoint, I think our play and our response this week speaks for itself. I'm really, really happy for him. I'm really, really happy for him and every player in our program, every person associated with our program. That is a program win. For all the negativity out there this week, that is a program win for us to come down here, give up a big play on defense on the first drive, and respond like we did to hold them to basically I think six points the rest of the way to the last drive. The way our offense played, special teams, we got takeaways. Third quarter, I know you guys were probably writing your articles like, here we go, here they go again. Third quarter, what are they going to do? And the whole country was watching, and we own it. I mean, we're the ones that have played that way in the third quarter. But if you had seen our locker room at halftime, you would have known we're getting ready to. Play well in the third quarter, and there was great energy, there was great resolve, and just really, really happy for our team and everybody associated with our program, and and just the the mental toughness. We talked about it on Tuesday, like to come down here and win on the road. This is a hard place to play, hard place to play. I remember sitting in here in 2022, and it wasn't it wasn't pretty, and this is one of the great environments in all of college football. They got a good football team. But for us to come down here missing four starters, make sure you guys write that. I mean, we're down four starters today that aren't on this trip, and then we lose Judge Collier in the first half. So we we were down there, but the way they played on defense, the way he played on offense. It's freaking awesome. They deserve it. Our players do. So happy for them. So happy for them. Appreciate our fans that were here today. They were unbelievable. And also, I mean, I should. I want to thank Jeremiah's in the back. Jeff Cranes right there. Wes is right there. Like those are the kind of dudes you want in the fossil with you. Like I talk to other head coaches that bitch about their athletic director and talk about how awful he is. Not the SEC. I'm not trying to get any head coaches the SEC in trouble. But I talk to other head coaches that talk about their AD. Like these guys are real dudes, man. And whatever the noise was on the outside the last three weeks, and what you guys wrote, and what the sources say, like these guys are real dudes, man, and have nothing, have been nothing, or have done nothing but have my back and be unbelievably, unbelievably supportive. Over even last year, this year, like they get it. They know how close we were, and and we continue. We're a team that continues to get better, and and I appreciate them. So Wes, Jeff, Jeremiah, like I appreciate the hell out of you guys, man, because I know it hasn't been easy for you guys, and I can't imagine the emails and calls y'all gotten about me the last three weeks. But they're real dudes, man, and. The kind of guys you want in the foxhole. So I said I wasn't gonna make a big opening statement. There's a big opening statement. So fire away. Questions for fires.
