17 Action Stars and Villains of the 80s and 90s: Then and Now

The iconic action films of the 1980s and 1990s gave us unforgettable heroes and villains who defined a generation of cinema. These performers brought intensity, charisma, and physicality to their roles that continue to influence action films today.
Looking back at blockbusters like "Terminator 2," we see Arnold Schwarzenegger, now 77, who transformed from bodybuilder to action superstar to politician and back to acting. His co-star Linda Hamilton, now 68, redefined female action heroes with her portrayal of the fierce Sarah Connor.
"Speed" introduced us to Keanu Reeves, now 60, whose career has spanned from action to drama to his current renaissance as John Wick. Sandra Bullock, also 60, leveraged her action debut into becoming one of Hollywood's most bankable stars. Sadly, the film's memorable villain Dennis Hopper passed away in 2010 at 74.
