Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe discussion centers on the risks of AI and \"super intelligence,\" criticizing the push for global governance and antitrust waivers as attempts to avoid competition. The panel emphasizes that AI developers should be held financially and legally responsible for their creations rather than socializing the risks or relying on taxpayer-funded bailouts.
People who are at the frontier of the AI economy
are throwing up their hands and saying,
well, we've built Frankenstein
and the solution to Frankenstein apparently is to create a one
world governance structure for artificial intelligence.
What I would say to those
people, if you're building Frankenstein,
stop or maybe build, you know, if the cat is out of the
bag, then build the defensive mechanism against Frankenstein.
And in his essay, Dario says that
he needs antitrust waivers in order to pursue this AI safety agenda.
I don't think that's true.
I don't think he needs, what he's saying
when he says I need an antitrust waiver is I should be
able to form a cartel or I should be protected from competition.
In my view, that's not acceptable.
You don't get to be protected from competition.
There are thousands of companies, millions of
companies across America who know they have
to make their products safe and they don't get
protection from the government for doing that.
I'm David Rocher and you're watching Get
Real, welcome back my panel Maddie Somerville, Kenan Spivak
and special guest Claude are still
with me, Trump puts uh super in place of artificial
and all is good, nothing to see here, um the tech
bros on the right say no to socializing
the risk David Sacks, Joe Lonsdale and JD Vance, we've heard
from two of them, their message to the lords
of AI, learn from your messes and pay by paying for them
quite frankly. Is super intelligence,
and I'm directing this one to Claude, less scary than
artificial intelligence?
Trump said artificial makes intelligence sound fake. But to the people
who build AI, super intelligence is the scary word.
It means a mind that beats humans at nearly
everything. And I'm not that.
So the rebrand makes it sound grander.
On the right, the Wall Street
Journal's Peggy Noonan has put AI alongside nuclear war.
And it is one of the things that
could do us in. She's sounding the end of days alarm.
She's got the AI vapors. On the live and
reality left, Alex Berenson of the New York Times,
who never left the left, the left left him.
He's as worried as Peggy, but he's got something she doesn't,
which is holding companies responsible
for their oopsies. And the important data point
that self-learning needs to learn on what happens
when they don't socially don't prepare
to the downsides of the risk of what they're offering
in the marketplace. Claude, one more question for you.
Who pays the bill, right? In your mind,
who should pay the bill? Clean up your own mess as the default.
When the taxpayer holds the bill,
nobody inside the company learns anything.
