Man found dead after incident in Tucker

Homicide investigation now underway in Gwinnett County after police discovered a man dead outside an apartment building. And Good Day's Kaitlin Pratt is live outside the complex in Tucker with what we know. Kaitlin? Hi, Buck. Good morning to you. Police have cleared the scene, but their investigation just getting underway here in Gwinnett County. I want to show you the scene late last night as investigators moved in, put up crime scene tape, and those techs went around the complex collecting any clues they could find, I'm trying to find witnesses as well. This is the Capella apartment homes on Preston Lake Drive, complex spans Tucker to Norcross area. So officers responded to the scene after reports of gunfire. And while they were on their way here, another person called 911 to report a person lying on the ground. They found that person outside one of the buildings here in a common area. When they arrived, they found a male. He was unresponsive. They rendered first aid, however, they were unsuccessful and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. We still don't know a lot about this situation, including the victim's identity, whether he lived here at the complex. Also, no good description of a suspect to go on. They are confirming, yes, this is a homicide investigation, but as to whether this was indeed a shooting, that's still undetermined. So still a lot to work out this morning here on this developing situation in Gwinnett County. That's where we're live. I'm Caitlin Pratt for Good Day Atlanta. All right. Thanks, Caitlin.
