Yes, so I am, like you said,
the first Filipina to have won a WTA title and I like to think
that, you know, that's kind of the start
of the mark that I want to leave imprinted, I
guess.
You know, the most I can do, I feel,
at the moment is to give back to my country and to
my fellow Filipinos, is to just do my best and,
you know, continue to work hard and try
inspire people and show them
that this possible just through the things that I
do it's very difficult to say what
my impact has been I like to think that
it's been positive I've noticed not just
in the Philippines but you know in my
region Southeast Asia and Asia especially with a lot of these Asian
women doing so great
in sports women's sports especially has really risen
in our region as of late in my opinion
and I think you know to be surrounded by
such amazing people
and such inspiring women pushes me inspires me and I think
it gives the youth a lot of options
to you know to open their horizons and and
you know dream big I think that this year's draw
is very difficult very you
know packed with amazing players of course
this time of year we're also very
all very motivated especially being here in Wuhan
and my opinion is that there's
not going to be any easy matches
and so what I'm gonna try to do is take it
match by match and try to you know focus one step at a time
and try to bring out
the best level that I can bring out
