Well, good afternoon, everyone, and I want to begin by calling this hearing to order, and I want to thank everyone for being here. Today's hearing, which is called Gaming the System, How the Trump Family is Making Billions by Ripping Off the American People, is an important one as we understand the full corruption and graft of the Trump family. Of course, as always, I'd like to thank Senator Blumenthal and the Senate Committee for their incredible partnership on so many hearings here as our hosts here in the Senate and the important work that they are doing every single day. We're here today to call out the most corrupt administration in American history. While the American people are struggling by and can't afford the cost of gas, groceries, the rent, Donald Trump, his family, and his allies are getting enormously wealthy and rich on a massive scale. Now, we know that this administration is the most corrupt in history, and I want to talk about the Trump family. As of April of 2024, we know that Trump is now worth an estimated $6.3 billion richer, over $6 billion richer than he's ever been. And we, of course, have to think about his actual record in business. His resorts and casinos went bankrupt. He stiffed workers. He says he's the greatest builder of all time and can't build a reflecting pool. So he's been a terrible business person, but he is a world-class expert on ripping people off and government corruption. And we know it's not just the president alone. The whole family is involved in looting the American treasury, and it's all to a benefit for themselves and their friends. And of course, we just learned that Don Jr.'s wedding was paid for in large part by a Russian oligarch with close ties to Vladimir Putin. We're talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars which is already by the way been confirmed by Don Jr. himself, Don Jr., Eric, Jared Kushner, we don't even know the full extent of this family's graft and corruption and I want to run through how this actually works now we know the family has made over 2.4 billion in profit just from their crypto grift and they make millions more every single week if you want to buy a pardon or change government policy you can invest with Trump's crypto companies or even buy some coins or you can donate to the inauguration, the ball, the ballroom or library funds it's all out in the open for anyone to see now again 2.4 billion in crypto grifts and millions more every single week now many of these donations have ties to foreign governments and entities with unknown motives we know his administration even solicited a plane from Qatar worth 400 million dollars and they're doing foreign deals abroad real estate deals shady deals and looking of course using whether it's through war or whether it's through their own their own diplomacy we have people like Jared Kushner and Don Jr cutting deals on the ground as the president and others are meeting and actually trying to engage in some type of diplomacy now the foreign contracts that are lining the pockets of the Trump family is just a part of this corruption they're also getting as we know these direct government contracts and Don Jr while sitting on the boards of companies is getting contracts from the Defense Department and this is all happening as the bills go higher and higher for working class people we also know that for a fee of one hundred thousand dollars you can even get access to posts or gamble or trade on the president through social network and so whether it's stocks whether it's investment deals whether it's trying to buy islands in other countries like the customers have tried to do, whether it's shaking down private companies or selling pardons. Trump continues to engage in massive corruption while serving as president, of course, of the United States. And we know it's not just the Trump family. They've also given a green light for there to be enormous corruption through administration officials. Now, at the Department of Homeland Security, we know that then-Secretary Kristi Noem may have personally benefited from a 220 million dollar ad contract which she herself started at DHS Corlew and Dowsky demanded personal payments from contractors in order to keep those contracts and consult and consulting payments from foreign governments while actually at the department and who of course could forget Elon Musk who was given free reign to dismantle large parts of the federal government while raking in billions in federal government contracts subscribe to One India and never miss an update.
