Beautiful evening on Long Island ahead of a big temperature swing this week

I'm meteorologist Rich Hoffman, your hyper-local weather forecast. Sunshine has returned and we're going to see more sunny skies the next several days and some warmer weather conditions. We're warming up this afternoon, 60s and 70s. We have a nice afternoon coming your way. Then on Wednesday, some clouds. Maybe it's too warm for some, but we're going to approach near 80 degrees, a good 75 to close to 80 degrees. And then we watch some wet weather coming in Friday with a cold front. We're going to see some gusty winds and some colder weather going into your weekend. So the clouds are moving on out. The sunshine is moving on in. And as we go towards the rest of today, 60s to around 70. On your Tuesday, 60s to low 70s once again. Kind of a mixture of sun and clouds. Tuesday night, slight chance of a shower. And then a warm front will move through. Take a look at these temperatures for Wednesday afternoon. 70s to close to 80 degrees, so it's warm. Then a cold front comes through Thursday night. Back into the 60s on Thursday and then Friday. This has more wet weather with it. Periods of rain, some gusty winds developing as the cold front moves on through. The good news will dry things out for the weekend. Take a look at this. We have some gusty winds on Saturday, 30 to 40 miles per hour. And look at these temperatures. Saturday afternoon at 130, the potential temperatures will be in the upper 40s and winds gusting 35 to 40 miles per hour. That is a bit of a chill coming on our weekend. Today, enjoy it, 60s to around 70 degrees this afternoon, 50s for tonight, partly cloudy skies. It's comfortable, and again, in that 10-day forecast, we have the changes. The warm weather on Wednesday, a little cooler Thursday, rain showers Friday, gusty winds, maybe a morning shower, then sunshine Saturday into Sunday.
