Carving the Sorting Hat from Oak | Harry Potter Woodworking

In this video, I carve the iconic Sorting Hat from Harry Potter out of a solid piece of oak wood!

I used hand carving chisels along with power tools to detail the expressions and textures, finishing the hat with a 2-component wood oil to bring out the natural oak grain and give it that aged, magical look.
