For 25 years, Werner Freund has lived with and “spoken” to wolves. Five packs, totaling twenty-five wolves, from Canada, the Arctic, and Central Europe.

His love and passion for these wild animals have led him to become one of them. The wolves, still driven by their primal instincts, roam freely within a protected forest of fir trees.

Recently, Werner set out for Central Asia, in Kyrgyzstan. There, alongside Yolt, his friend, a shepherd and breeder of horses and yaks, he will try to track wolves in their natural environment.

Werner has set himself a challenge: to approach a wild pack using his unique knowledge as a “wolf-man.”
