British WW2 Civilian respirator

British World War Two civilian issue gas mask/respirator.
Perhaps one of the most primitive respirators ever made, this gas mask has a filter taped onto the gas mask, a single plastic/film visor and three straps to keep it on your head.
The mask has no exhale valve so exhaled air has to force it's way out of the mask around the wearers face.
The Civilian Duty mask was far more robust and issued to Civil Defence workers who needed a better mask.
You can find one of these masks on the UK eBay for about £10-20, however, do not wear the mask due to the asbestos filter.
