Hello, my name is Dr. Micah Shippey. Today I'd like
to introduce you to the Samsung AI Assistant.
It's a built-in app for Samsung Interactive Displays running Android
OS. Samsung AI Assistant
helps create a better learning experience by reducing teacher workload
and keeping students
engaged in class. The schools are starting
to focus more on the collaborative environment.
Keeping students engaged in the classroom comes
with eliminating distractions. To get started,
simply tap the AI sidebar.
Here you can access three key features, Live Transcript, Circle to
Search, and My Lessons. Let's see how they work in a real lesson.
At the beginning of the lesson,
it's crucial to ensure every student can easily follow along.
In a large classroom, the teacher's
voice can be harder to hear, and for some students,
spoken instruction alone may not always be enough.
That's where Live Transcript comes in.
It turns spoken instruction into real-time text right on the screen,
so students don't miss what's important.
For even more control, teachers can adjust the font size,
language, and position of the transcript banner.
Kids these days are turning on transcripts,
you know, even as they're watching movies at home,
and it's helping with their understanding.
What I really like about it is you can pair it
with the Samsung screen sharing app
so that every student in the classroom has a front row seat
at the panel from the comfort of their own device.
And if live transcripts are turned on, they can
also see exactly what the teacher is saying from their own device,
even if they're sitting in the back and maybe can't hear them clearly.
During the middle of the lesson,
keeping students fully engaged can be a challenge.
When explaining complex concepts,
showing diverse examples or reference materials
helps students better understand what they are seeing on the screen.
For those moments, teachers can use circle to search.
By simply circling an item on the screen,
the Samsung AI assistant generates instant results.
This allows teachers to expand on a topic in real time
while students stay focused on the lesson.
If a student asks an unexpected question,
teachers can quickly bring up relevant images,
videos, or web links to support the answer.
The teacher can then just press
and hold to add helpful content to the whiteboard.
Being able to use that circle
to search feature just saves a lot of time where
you don't have to go in and type certain word content or videos.
Everything pulls
up all at once simply just by circling that word.
These are actual websites by
credible organizations that you can actually rely on and use with your
students. As an educator then you actually become a facilitator of
learning rather than just dictating what it
is that you want them to learn. Once
Once you've done that self-research,
it actually allows the students to go through that information
and other educational sources the students can then gauge themselves.
As the lesson wraps up,
it's time to quickly check what students have learned.
With the lesson recorded from the beginning,
teachers can instantly build quizzes based
entirely on what was just taught.
Teachers simply select the lesson's transcript
to open the quiz settings.
Here they can even upload additional materials.
As the AI generates questions strictly
from these provided sources, there's no need
to worry about hallucinations.
When the quiz is ready,
students can join instantly from their own devices using a QR
code or a link.
Once students submit their answers,
teachers can reveal the correct ones after each question,
keeping class participation high.
At the end, the AI quiz provides
a complete result dashboard, making it easy to check
for overall student comprehension.
can also download or share these results directly from here.
Beyond quizzes, the dashboard saves all
recorded sessions under My Lessons.
Here, teachers can review the transcript or switch to the AI
generated summary. They can view the summary by topic
and easily share or download the transcript
for future use. My favorite part about
that is creating a quiz with the information that you
taught, so it's able to listen to you
and come up with a summary of what was taught. Then you have
that leaderboard component after you've shared your quiz,
you can see where the students are at.
If you see a lot of area errors in one area, it shows you right there.
I'm able to just go back
and identify areas of improvement with that quiz.
I would say that that AI quiz is really,
really helpful. The fact that you can generate content right
in the moment is incredibly helpful
for these students. And the fact that, I mean,
I'll even add on, you can share that content back
is also another way to aid in the education of the students.
Engagement is always a really hard thing to measure in the classroom.
The word that I would use from my experience is differentiation.
How do you differentiate for every single person in the classroom?
You can have things like the Infinite Canvas on the whiteboard
where you can have multiple activities
where students are able to engage at their own pace
From the beginning of the lesson to the end,
the Samsung AI Assistant brings accessibility,
active discovery, and deep comprehension to life in the classroom.
And it's all built right into the Samsung Interactive Display.
