Hi, this is Josh with Resort TV One,
and today I'm going to check out these Robozin Minions,
Henry and James, and this mini robot base,
and show you all the cool things they can
do and all the super cute things they can do,
and just show you what these robots are
all about and see if you might want to grab some
of these for your family to mess around
with.
I felt like this fit really well on the Resort TV One channel
because it's Minions, you know,
we do cover Universal and all things, you know,
theme parks and characters and things
like that and this is kind of the intersection of technology
and super cute characters we all
love minions so let's check these things out
and before we get started with this unboxing i want
to thank Robozin for sponsoring this video
and giving us these minions to try out and to show
all of you just to see what they're all about they sent us an email
and i was like oh my gosh we have
to check these out and Robozin are the amazing wizards behind
the transforming Optimus Prime
the Soundwave and all of those super cool robots
if you don't know about those check those out as
well um as you can see i've got my transformers behind me
so those are pretty cool uh and i
definitely have been following those very closely as well
but i didn't even know they made minions
so i can't wait to check these out let's get them out of the box
but thank you Robozin for sponsoring
this video appreciate it
so here's a little closer look at the packaging for each minion
we've got henry here let's see henry mini robot
looks like he's got some movie stuff there so
that's going to be super cool with the movie camera
and little the little uh and what do you
call that the little clapboard i think
is what it's called where they do the take take one take
to action like you know what i'm talking about
and then we've got james here and he looks like
a lot of fun he's got like some kind
of a little uh i don't know like a minion weapon or something
and a little like sunglass thing to go over his uh one eye goggle there
so that's kind of cool
anyway i can't wait to see what they do um and how they move around
and another thing too
if you do end up picking these up from robos
and make sure you get the mini robot base as well
because that unlocks a lot of the actions
and activities that these amazing little robots can
do. So the mini robot base is sold separately.
So definitely make sure you get at least one of
these to go along with your robots.
And you only need one because you can take the robots in and
out of the base as you want.
So, and I believe this even goes with other characters on their
website. So once you buy one of these,
then you can buy all the other little characters that go
with it. So anyway, let's unbox them.
So we'll leave the robot base for last though, because
Obviously the characters are the most exciting part
of this whole experience.
All right, so here we go.
We're gonna unbox Henry first here.
So got the tape cut there and I'm just gonna,
okay, I should show you the back of the box as well.
It kind of shows you both minions.
There also is an online portal, studio.robizen.com
where you can program actions and things like that.
I've got my computer set up
so maybe we'll try that a little bit later.
But you can program your own actions,
you can add your own voice,
you can do all kinds of cool stuff with these.
They're very customizable.
That's the neat thing about it is it doesn't just,
you know, have a pre-programmed list
of actions or something, and then that's all it can do.
And you're like, oh, okay, well, that's all it can do, right?
Because a lot of toys, you know, for years have been like that.
You know, they're super cute when you first get them,
and then you, you know, you realize
it only has a limited number of things that it can say,
whereas these are programmable.
You can, like, program a pretty much unlimited amount
of actions as long as the robot can
physically perform the action, like you can program it.
So that's pretty exciting.
Um, it should be really exciting for kids too, if they want
to learn about how to kind of program actions and it's like,
you know, a little bit of a coding thought process through there kind
of practice for, for later and stuff like that.
So anyway, I don't know. It's just such a cool thing here.
You can see Henry there in the package. So cute. Oh my goodness.
I can't wait to see how much of him is animated and does move.
So we'll see if I can pop him out of the plastic there
and we'll take our first look at him outside of the package.
And there he is. Look, oh my goodness.
he is so cute that little old film reel camera there
and all of the uh newspapers or something
i guess holding it up and the film reels oh
my goodness and a little clapboard there
that is so so cool wow so there you go that is henry
and uh once we get the robot base out we'll
see how he fits into that as well let's get out
james all right here's james so let's see he's
got like a little shrink ray
or something i'm not sure what he's what he's holding could be to help
Gru steal the moon there's oh there's a little bit
of a oh there it shows him with the robot
base and all the different things you can
do with him it says Roboson mini robot base sold separately
up there you go it does tell you that shows how he goes
with henry there and there's the studio
for the programming so definitely go
on there i actually before i started the video i did a little
account there it's really easy you just put
your email address in and you can log in and the reason
for the login is just because that way they can you can save
your actions that you program so that
it's not lost but it's all web-based so it's super easy
and you log in with your account and then you
can just program whatever actions that you want
so okay let's see if we can get them out of the
little plastic here and we will take a look
at james here oh my goodness look at that hey so
cute there's one eye i wonder what mike wazowski thinks about
that nope wrong wrong series but
look at that little that little it's like sunglass
that's not sunglasses that's sunglass
and the oh that's not a shrink ray that's like
a okay this is all about movies here i love that so
uh this is like a megaphone that he's got here
and then he's sitting on film reels and things
like that i probably shouldn't move him very much before we plug him
in but yeah this is this is
super cool wow a lot of attention
to detail here too you can tell they're made really really well
they're painted nicely and uh i don't know i just
love minions look a little hair on the top of his
I'm gonna get the robot base out now.
Okay, so the mini robot base you see the box there kind of shows
You know what it comes or what it looks like I guess
and there's not much on the back except for just product information
So there it shows how to put them in and how to take them out
Looks like there is it looks like there's a way to click him in there
and click them back out
This does plug into your computer via this included USB C cable.
So that is how it is connected
it's a nice cable too nice braided cable there you go love
to see it very similar to what you
might get with an apple product so that's pretty cool all right
and then we have the base itself
this is pretty nice and heavy i like the way it feels
and this is the speaker i would assume
that's how the robot you know the robots communicate
with their voices and then you
have the play button looks like maybe a menu button
or change actions and then you have the
the sound button it probably allows it to mute
or something and then it looks like yeah okay so this
is this is how you put them down in here he clicks
and then this is how you inject them so and then
the back you've got uh looks like
a power button back here yep that's a power button your USB-C
connection and uh on the bottom just some rubber feet
to keep them from sliding around so looks
pretty simple and easy to use
and there is a user manual there in the bottom of the box i've got a
pdf as well but that that does show you
a little bit more about how to use it so all right let's
plug these in and get them started kind of hard to see
but i do want to draw your attention to
this little sticker you do need to remove
that before you can use this base so make sure you
remove that before you get started okay
so we have our two minions and we have our base here
and so in order to connect them here we'll just we'll just
do henry first i believe you have to
take this little bottom piece off is what it looks like
in the instructions okay so that was easier
than I thought. You just hold onto the Minion
and the entire bottom piece comes off. There we go.
And you can see that's where it connects into,
um, and it looks like that's how it controls the
motions of the robot.
And that's how it connects into the, uh, little socket here in the mini
robot base there. And that's how it kind of tells it what to do.
So we're going to plug this in here
to the mini robot base and, uh, that should give us a nice, yep.
Nice little satisfying click there.
there you go make sure it's seated in there all the way excellent
so now you can see we're seated
in the base and it is looking really good here
so now i'm going to go on the back side here and
turn it on and let's just see what he does i'm
just going to mess around with it and see what
it does oh hello how
are you okay if that's
not the cutest thing
i don't know what is
oh my goodness all right let's see what else he can
do so let's push that one more time see if
does the same thing or if we have
to advance it to the next thing.
I love that so much. Oh my
goodness. He is so cute. So I guess
if you just keep pushing it, there's certain actions that
are predefined and then you can
program a few more in later.
He's really excited. How fun. Let's
keep going. I love the little minion language.
It's so, so cute. Let me zoom in just a little
bit so you can see him even better. There we go.
All right, let's try the next one. I love that.
Oh my gosh. Minions are so cute.
Let's keep going.
I got him working
a little better. He wasn't quite
seated completely in the robot base i suppose
because it's new it's nice and tight which is
good but now he
moves around
a little more i
hope he's still
going i love the way
his eyes go back
and forth hey
buddy i think
we've almost
gotten all
the way
around let's
keep going
it's a lot
of actions here and these are all pre-programmed
and again you can program as many other actions
as you want and the cool thing
is on their little online portal you can actually download actions
that other people have made too
which is super cool exactly all
right we're back to the beginning
so that's super cool so now we're going to go ahead
and put in James here okay i think it's
okay to put the to pop these out
when they are on so let's see yeah so then you just pull them
right out of there oop that didn't work hold
on there we go okay probably supposed to turn it
off i'm not sure let's turn it off just
to be safe okay i think it's probably okay all right
so we take the little cap off
of this and let me zoom back out just a little there we go and
we snap this right back into place
and make sure it's it's pretty tight in there so really make
sure they're snapped in there nicely
and let's see what James has to say turn him on with this
little thing on the back
let's see what we got here
okay nice he's excited
to be here they movies
they movies
and action
no okay so cute
eureka i found
it and of course
the base has
a battery in
it i'm not connected to any power right now
but i assume if i do run out of power i'll need to
connect my USB-C cable to a power source,
but it's good they included a USB-C cable. That's
always nice. A lot of manufacturers for things
are not including those anymore. Do me best of
buddies.
Like Henry.
Is Henry your
best of buddy?
All right, let's
push the next one.
I love his
sunglasses. Hollywood.
Cool news. That's what
it sounded like he said.
I made it back to the
beginning. All right, super cool. So those are
the pre-programmed actions they can do. Actually,
I never tried this other button. Let's see what this does.
Oh, it repeats it, I think. Okay,
so apparently if I
hold it down it just
kind of goes auto
maybe let's see okay
so it's just
repeating the same thing if I push it twice it'll
pause shuffle shuffle okay play an order okay so
that's how it works in the um as far as like
which actions it does so if you want it to shuffle it'll
just randomly go through if you want to play an order I see
and then the other one um when I push
the play button hold it three times it'll just
like keep doing it over and over again so cool
very simple very easy to use and um yeah I like it
and it's easy to pop them in and pop them out
and just you know keep going with it apparently
it takes about two and a half hours to charge
according to the manual i just read
so yeah very simple all right let's connect it to the computer
and see what we can do with it there he just
started randomly singing la la la la la la, that was one i don't
think i'd heard before that was crazy it just started
while he was off so here i am on the
website and you can see the different a lot
of the different mini robot series uh you've got
Crayon Shin-chan i don't know who
that is but we've got uh mini robot Minion series uh toy story which
is kind of cool so lots and here's our minions here
and then of course there's the flagship
Soundwave and Bumblebee and Megatron
and all those amazing ones they even have Buzz Light
year but yeah so we're going to click our minion series here
and we've actually got james plugged
in right now so now all we have to do is if we want
to be online it's kind of loading him in
and you can kind of see all the little actions you can program
in over here but we're going to
click here and we're going to plug him in all right
so now i've got james plugged in i'm going
hit select your robot oh wait i did that already let me
do okay well i guess i'll try it again
select your robot okay connect robot there we go
connect robot mini base there it is okay so here
let me pull the camera up so you can see it it says mini base
and that is what i want and i hit
connect and there we go connected successfully it
says figure connected programming mode enabled
okay so you can basically just like set all
the different parts of his body to move however you
them to so that is super super cool
so let me play around with this and see what i can do with it and
we'll go from there okay
so it programs kind of like um on a video timeline so you select your
little timeline down here and then i guess you can move kind
of his arms around a little bit oh i see
so you see his arm is moving
so here let's let's move his arm this way oh yep there it went okay
this is kind of cool here let me back up the camera
so you can see what i just did there
all right and then let's move this other arm over here watch
this okay that moved up let's
move it down yeah so up and down
so that doesn't move okay there we go no it moves pretty far and
then his eye can go around yep that's kind
of cool now we can go oh his waist can move okay
so like over here yep and over here so let's make him go back
and forth let's go all the way over
here all right and then we're going to add another action right here
and then we're going to make his
waist go all the way over here
and we're going to make his eye go the opposite way we're going
going to make his arm go this way
and his other arm go this way so we're going to kind of make
it just make him move like quite a bit
and then let's try the next one and we will uh have his
arm go maybe back towards the middle
this one back towards the middle eyes in the middle and
the waist all the way over again there we go
and then the next one we'll have the waist come back
to the middle as well and we'll have the arm move up
and over here and then we'll add one more where
everything comes back to the middle boom and boom okay
and let's see what happens if i play it see
what happens here we go uh maybe i have to start
at the beginning i'm not sure all right here we go
okay well it should okay it showed it
to me there it didn't show it to me with the robot oh
there it goes this is what he does here that's really cool all right
so over here i click save
to robot see if it does it oops there you go
download okay let's see what happens uh-huh
so now will it do it no okay
so it must hopefully i just i think i just saved it to robot let's just
to see what happens.
Yes, I think that is what I just programmed.
I don't think I did the voice
though. So I got to figure that part out, but this is so fun.
Oh my goodness. I could play with this
for hours because it's so fun just to mess around
and program stuff. Let me mess with it a little
more. Oh, I see audio is audio is right there.
Okay. Let me mess with it a little more, see what
I can do. Okay. I figured it out.
There's a little tutorial video, which was really super helpful.
So I made some, um, copyright free music
on YouTube just to try this out. And I went into
the upload audio section in the start menu
and then once you do that and assign it to some actions
then you can just do a quick create
and then it will actually make the actions for you so I'm just
going to do that and I'm going to do music
and let's see if he'll dance to the music so it should
okay it's just going to generate the actions right there just based
on the little dance music that I
got so I'm going to back it up so you can see both the robot
and the well it's not ready for the
robot yet but okay so let's see what he does you can actually see it
on the screen there okay let's
see cute yeah I like that all right we got to
get it on the robot cool all right that's good
enough so now I think I just hit save the robot
and I think it's going to download okay it's going
to download the file and then I'm actually going
to be able to actually add it to the robot you
actually have to add it to his little folder
in his little USB drive so I'll be back after I've
done that okay I think I got it the tutorials
were really really helpful basically you just
download it as a zip file it becomes a folder
and you drag it over to the USB so let's see if it'll
play now the action that i had yep how cute
that's my music you can't see but i'm dancing
but he's doing better than me oh my goodness i love
that okay that was actually pretty fun
still dancing okay this is way more fun like
to create stuff with it like obviously the actions
are cute but this
is amazing it
really came up
some good actions
for him nice
that was a lot of
fun i like that a lot oh my goodness
that was super fun i can't believe we got to play with
some minions and just you know program our own minions activities
and you know be super creative
with it and i just play with it
for a few minutes i mean you could really do some crazy cool stuff
with this and really get like some songs from the real minion shows
or download some actual audio
the minions talking from the internet
and also you can make actions based on their talking too
so you don't just have to go with the files
that are already on the robots you can actually download
your own minion audio you know i mean it's all over the internet right
so download something that
conversation between the minions or something
and you can put that on the robot as well and then it
can come up with its own actions i actually like
the quick create best because it's just really
fast it generates its own actions and it's really fun
but if you want to generate your own you can
as well and what i finally figured out
is actually what you need to do is upload the audio then take
the action that you created in that custom menu
then put it all together and then you know put it
all in the robots folder so it's really easy if you watch the tutorial
and it only took me a couple
minutes to figure it out. So special thanks
to RoboSim for sponsoring this video, for sending
these robots so we can check them out, have fun with them,
play around with them. I can't wait to
let my son Liam play with them as well
because they're going to be something that I think he's
going to enjoy a lot. So anyway, if you're interested
in checking these out, go to the
link in the description down below.
I'll put it on the screen as well. It's really easy to find,
and they've got more than this as well.
If you're not as big of a Minion fan or if you like Toy
Story more, there's a few different characters you can choose
from, and they all fit in this
same base or you can get one of each
and get a minion you know and you can get a toy story
character and then they both go in this base
and you can save files different files to each robot
and just have a great time with them
or you can get more than one little base and you can have
them like talk to each other so that's kind of cool too
but do keep in mind that you can only
use one at a time if you only have one base
so that's something to to um you know think about
when you're buying all the stuff on RoboSim's site
but definitely check that out and i hope
enjoyed the video so we will see you next time
so for now have a great big beautiful tomorrow bye
