The optimism about AI in the United States
is about half that of China, Southeast Asia,
many other parts of the world.
And as somebody, my father was a physicist
at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.
I grew up in Silicon Valley.
The notion that in America,
which has really been the center of innovation, you see that
kind of anxiety or lack of optimism is concerning.
I think it comes to a number of things.
One, the downside has to be super clear.
Downside has to be protected before
people even want to open their thinking.
to what is the upside opportunity.
But then when you start looking at what it can mean,
a couple of examples.
What we're already seeing with small businesses
and entrepreneurs is really exciting.
This is a time where entrepreneurs are saying,
if you have an idea,
you can get really turbocharged by leveraging technology,
reaching customers more rapidly,
having visibility on every element
of how to run the business.
More than 80% of small businesses who use AI
are saying they are already seeing an uplift in revenues
and in earnings. What we're seeing in health already,
oftentimes the application of this
amazing technology to health is spoken about
in the context of what will happen
in our lifetime. We need to back it up and make it really clear.
It's actually happening here today.
