Kalshi cofounder says prediction market platform is good for society

You should be able to make money on what you know and what you care about. Do you think your product is good for society? Oh, absolutely. 100%. That was the easiest question. Why is that? Well, I think having an unbiased source of information and data about what's going to happen in the future is more needed now than ever before. And I think that we actually see that so clearly that a lot of our users, when they say, what do you think Kashi is an alternative to? They say it's an alternative to Twitter because they go to Twitter to get information. but on twitter the whatever has the most likes or the most reshares which is the most insane thing gets the most likes and reshares and most of them are not true is what you're going to see but you come to Kashi and you get this unbiased source of information because you're incentivizing people to be right you only get paid if you're right so you get this one number that becomes kind of like the wisdom of the crowds aggregation of everyone's opinions and that value you cannot find there's the federal reserve put out papers about this like a lot of you know professors are talking about this too is like that value of forecasting that comes from these markets is really really unbeatable and also I think that like people should be able to make money on what they know right if you aren't having expertise and like you know a lot about movies you should be able to you know if you watch every Oscar movie why are you not able to make money on that but you can make money on some stocks that you actually never heard about and you're trying to trade options like you should be able to make money on what you know and and what you care about
