In this video, I make a real life Triple-Fried Galactic Shwaffle, a Crusty Sean specialty from Splatoon 2. It's the sequel to my original Shwaffle recipe. Check out how to make it below!
Banana fluff: 1 3.4 oz box of banana cream pudding 1 cup whole milk 2 cups heavy cream 1 TBL gelatin 1 tsp lemon juice Pinch of salt
Deep fried frozen shrimpies: 1 banana, sliced into fingers Sour cream or Greek yogurt Crushed vanilla wafers Red sour straws
Brûlée syrup: 2 TBL butter 2/3 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup brandy or water Pinch of salt 1 tsp lemon juice
Waffle Cookies: 1/2 cup flour 2/3 tsp baking powder Pinch of salt 1 egg 3 TBL butter 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp lemon juice 1/4 cup sugar No-stick spray
Gummies, to decorate
For Banana fluff: Place your gelatin in 1/4 cup of your milk. Place instant pudding in a small pot. Add remaining milk. Bring to a low simmer whisking constantly. Once it gets warm, add your gelatin mixture and stir in. Take off the heat. Allow to cool slightly.
Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Add a little of your cream to the pudding to lighten it. Add the pudding mixture into the cream and fold until combined. Add lemon juice and salt. Cover in plastic and allow to set, at least four hours.
Deep fried frozen shrimpies: Crumble vanilla wafers coarsely. Slice your banana as directed in video. Dip banana pieces into sour cream, and then into the crumbled wafers. Place on a parchment lined sheet. Slice small tips of red sour straw and slide into the end of the shrimpies. Freeze for at least a few hours.
Waffle cookies: In a small bowl, combine egg, butter, sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice. Whisk to combine. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to your egg mixture. Whisk until combined.
Preheat a waffle cone maker until hot. Spray with no-stick spray. Place 1/2 TBL of batter in the center of the iron. Carefully close the iron and allow to cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden. Remove with a spatula and allow to set on a cooling rack.
Brûlée syrup: In a small non-stick pan, place butter and brown sugar. Once it starts to bubble, turn off the heat and add your brandy or water. If you want to light it, make sure you are nowhere near a burner. Or, cook on low heat until the booze evaporates. Add salt and lemon juice. Cool until it starts to bubble, then take off the heat.
To assemble Galactic Shwaffle: Place a waffle cookie on your serving plate. Dollop with banana fluff. Using a piping bag or an offset spatula. Top with another cookie. Add syrup with a silicone brush. Top with a frozen shrimpie or two. Add more banana fluff and caramel, and garnish with gummy candy. Serve immediately. Recipe by Jammy Cooks.
The creator prepares a \"Triple Fried Galactic Schwaffle,\" a complex dessert inspired by Krusty Shawn's Food Truck. The dish features a combination of banana-flavored fluff, cookie-crusted banana \"shrimp,\" crunchy waffle cookies, and a flambéed brandy caramel sauce, all layered together for a decadent treat.
Deep fried schwaffel. It's my most popular video by far.
And since y'all asked me to do it,
it's finally happening. Triple fried galactic schwaffel.
Like the other schwaffel before this
one, it comes from Krusty Shawn's Food Truck.
Ironically, even though it's technically bigger,
I decided to scale this one down so it's a little bit easier to eat.
It starts with gelatin. Soak
it in a little bit of milk for about five minutes.
Reach for some banana pudding. A small box.
Add it
to a small pot.
Add the rest of your milk.
Slowly bring it to a simmer.
Make sure you're whisking this whole time
so it doesn't stick to the bottom.
Once it's warm, add your gelatin mixture and turn off the heat.
Make sure the gelatin mixture is dissolved,
and then allow it to cool slightly.
In the meantime, we're going to take some cream
and beat the crap out of it.
You can use an electric whisk here,
but I like using a big bowl and a little elbow grease.
When it looks like this, you're done.
Take a little cream
and add it to your pudding.
you can add your pudding all at once to the cream.
Carefully fold it in. I use a
whisk for this.
Finally, add a little lemon juice
and a pinch of salt. Cover it
in plastic and refrigerate it until it's set,
about a few hours. Now for our
shrimpies. It starts with vanilla wafers.
Crumble them up in your greasy fingers
until they're coarse and crunchy, like panko.
Nice and coarse, like this. Grab a
banana, slice it in thirds, then slice
those thirds in half. You should have six
tiny bananas.
Dip your bananas in sour cream or greek yogurt.
Then, into your cookie crumbles.
Coat it with the cookies best you can.
Then, place it on the parchment lined sheet. Alright,
now take some sour straws and slice them up.
Slice these little pieces about three-quarters
of the way through. See? Little shrimp tails.
Poke holes in your banana and slide the tail in.
Back on the sheet and freeze for a few hours.
Instead of full-blown waffles,
we're gonna make waffle cookies.
Starts with egg, a little butter, sugar, vanilla,
and lemon juice whisk to combine
in another bowl combine flour
a little salt and some baking powder
whisk to combine now add it
to your wet stuff crank up
your waffle cone maker spray it with
no stick spray all right add half a tablespoon of batter
and close it up don't push down hard
just gently close it cook for one to two minutes
or until they're just golden then using a spatula
put them on a cooling rack they'll get crunchy
as they cool now some sauce butter goes in a
nonstick pan. Add dark brown sugar
and cook until slightly bubbly.
Turn off the heat and add brandy.
Then you can light it up. Don't do this unless you have
a fire extinguisher. The flames get pretty
high. If you're afraid of flames, you can just use water.
It'll still be good. Finish it off with some
salt and a little bit of lemon juice.
The cool thing about this recipe is all these parts are
tasty on their own, but together they're galactic.
Let's make a schwaffle. Place a cookie on a plate.
Fill up on some of your banana fluff.
Top with another cookie.
I drizzle on the caramel sauce
with a silicone paintbrush. Top it with a shrimp or two.
Top it with some extra fluff. Sprinkle
on some gummies. Then you can go nuts with the caramel.
Look at this beautiful dessert.
When it comes to eating it, I go fierce
and I swing at it with a spoon. Triple fried galactic
schwaffle. Done. Yummy. Thank you patrons, I love you.
And thank you for watching. If you
like this schwaffle, check out the original.
