Search for missing mother becomes murder investigation as husband flees state

Well, the FBI is on the hunt for a man who they believe is involved in the disappearance of his estranged wife. She was reported missing in late September. Fox News' Megan Boyd joining us in studio with an update on the investigation. Hi, Megan. Hi, Brandon Page. Police say 42-year-old Marjolaine DeIro Briceño Arrieta hasn't been seen or heard from since September 28th. Just yesterday, officials told her children that based on DNA evidence, they no longer believe she is alive. The woman's estranged husband, 49-year-old Richard Perez, is also missing and police have issued an arrest warrant for him on charges for murder. The family reported the mother of three missing after she did not return from meeting with Perez and nobody could get a hold of either of them. The family told police Perez had a history of abusing her. Denton police say Briseño Arrieta's car was found abandoned at Perez's apartment, but his car was missing. Flock cameras showed he left Texas and went to New Mexico. Police in Albuquerque then found his car in a hotel parking lot. Video surveillance shows a man matching Perez's description get out of the car alone before leaving it. A family friend who's helping Briseño Arrieta's three children says they have taken the news extremely hard. I know that people can speculate on why she went and was in that situation but unless you're a victim of domestic violence and you've been through something similar you don't know. Police told reporters they searched Perez's apartment but would not go into detail on what was found. They also didn't say where they believe she was killed. Now the family friend tells us Perez has ties to Venezuela and makes money buying and selling cars online. There is a $2,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. For Good Day, I'm Megan Boyd.
