The British Prime Minister, Annie Burnham, has recently
described Brexit as having done more harm than good to the UK.
What do you make of this?
I absolutely agree with that.
I think I was very involved with the Remain movement
in a group called Another Europe is Possible,
which wanted to reform the EU but wanted Britain to remain in the EU.
The economic damage has been incredible.
And also it's led to the rise of the far right, undoubtedly,
because the Pandora's box that was opened with Brexit
has released all the anti-migrant, xenophobic sentiment
which we're now dealing with the results of that.
I think disparity in the UK is growing.
I think the backbone of the UK is suffering.
And I think the promises by the Leave campaign
have absolutely proved to be hollow.
And I'd say that it's vital
that the UK does something about it.
For the country, it would have looked better,
back then for voting out.
There's not a lot going on right now. Jobs, it's not good.
Taxes going back up. Yeah, no, it's dead. It's not good.
And so if there's a chance for the UK to rejoin the EU,
would you vote to rejoin?
I'd have to understand what it means.
It seems pointless going back in if we're going to
be in a worse possible position.
Hence the reason I wanted to remain because I thought
it was easier to change
and make it better if we were in rather than being out.
Yeah, I probably would join back to see what life can be
and what it could have been with the
opportunities that were taken away.
It's really strange, you know, when you go on holiday
and now you're going to go into one queue versus the other queue
for not being in the EU anymore.
And I just feel like there were so many
benefits now that we just don't have
because the decisions made before us.
