Hey guys, my name is Patti. How are you?
Otakon is back as they are Siberian. They do Siberian music.
They have a new song. It's called Chukotka.
I know I butchered that, so I apologize.
so this song is dedicated to the indigenous people uh far north uh
their culture and their way of
life uh so uh the lyric composition you know along with their ethnic
and traditional music
instrument and the throat singing um so it's
a vast of uh different types uh you know all put
together and um i'm very excited about this along
with that you know you'll see that the northern
sea it covers like a thick layer of ice under
which uh you'll see the sea animals the whales
they're all hidden okay so um the lyric is written
in Chukchi language um so i'm still getting um
you know used to it but it's so beautiful and it's
so different so um i'm excited uh to hear
this and always i like to learn a new things especially uh
with their traditional uh you know
ways of the way of different people you know actually survive
and live and um you know embrace
their um musical um instruments
and you know um their beliefs it's just very beautiful it's very
different for me because you know my background
um it's you know totally different if you don't
know what my background is i was born in thailand
um so i'm a half um thai laos i'm not really half
really for uh thai laos uh black and then some mystery
but enough of me so let's check this out
and
then
i'll
do
more
comments
afterwards
okay
here
we
go
you
know
I
have
to
say
we
lack
a
lot
of things and we you know we don't connect
with our you know uh with our earth we take everything
for granted we mess everything up
in my opinion you know we we pollute the water the air and
everything and every time i listen you know
to them it makes me realize how much i love this
planet but we're destroying it you know uh by the way
her voice is amazing and you know one of the
things that uh you know we i i take for granted
because i can just go to the store and just buy
myself they physically have to go out
and get their you know their resources you know um and
you know one thing uh that i have to say is i'm trying
to you know be a better person uh try not
to you know pollute anything that eventually
is going to destroy us um very beautiful song it
It always brings me back to, you know,
I should just do more in my part.
And I always love that we have to preserve our culture for real,
you know, because we don't do that.
And, you know, they remind us and I love them.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful ballad.
And, you know, the words are so touching and so meaningful to me.
