We're just 20 days out from the midterm elections now,
and the White House is ramping up efforts
to help Republican candidates across the nation.
And President Trump hitting the campaign trail.
Today, he stopped in Bullhead City.
That's where we find Fox's Amalia Roy
with more on this final push from the GOP.
Hi, Mark, Christina.
You know, today, President Trump,
he was joining the stage here in Bullhead City
with many big names in the state in the Republican Party.
Of course, the congressman, Andy Biggs,
the Republican nominee for governor, was here,
as well as the RNC chair, Floyd Mayweather, made an appearance.
And it is part of this final push that you
were talking about from the GOP ahead of the midterms.
Yesterday, President Trump was in Alaska campaigning
for the senator seeking re-election, Dan Sullivan.
This is as the Republican Party is seeing themselves
in tighter races across the country.
And it's something that the president echoed
when he spoke today here in Arizona.
We're going to elect a strong Republican majority
in the House and Senate.
And I think we have a really good chance.
And to be honest with you, you know, I'm not on the ballot.
And they say if I'm on the ballot, we get 49 percent more votes.
So I'm here to say, please pretend I'm on the ballot.
Right now, Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance are trying
to rally Republican voters in both competitive races
and some that seem to be slipping away.
The most recent Fox News power rankings predicting big gains
for House Democrats this year and Senate seats that used to be solidly
Republican are becoming toss-ups like races in Alaska and Texas.
We have to restore the American dream to Arizona
because it's being taken away by a governor, Governor Katie Hobbs.
After today, Trump is off to Montana to campaign for Republican nominee
for Congress, Aaron Flint, another tight toss-up race.
in Bullhead City, Arizona. Amalia Foley, Fox News.
And another new poll just three weeks out from
the midterm elections shows Democrats in Arizona with a solid lead.
The high ground polling also
shows independents breaking for Democrats this election cycle.
In the race for Arizona governor,
incumbent Democrat Katie Hobbs has a 17-point lead,
according to this poll, over Andy Biggs.
Polling shows Governor Hobbs benefiting from all
the age demographics, including a 30-plus
point lead among independents.
Hobbs is leading by over 10 points in the 50 to 64-year-olds,
which has been a stronghold for Republicans.
President Trump won this segment by 22 points
in 2024. And for Arizona Secretary of State,
incumbent Democrat Adrian Fontes has a 12-point
advantage over Republican challenger Alexander Culloden.
Culloden has been more competitive
among voters 50 and older,
but is now trailing slightly in that age group. For Attorney General,
incumbent Democrat Chris Mayes has grown
her lead over Republican Senate President Warren
Peterson to 15 points. Peterson performing better than both Biggs
and Culloden among Republicans,
but high ground says he started to lose traction among voters 50
and older. Mayes won the race in
2022 by 300 votes.
The sample size for this polling was 400 likely voters.
Democrat candidates also
lead in the open seats for state treasurer
and superintendent of public instruction. For this
polling, High Ground collected data from
400 Arizona voters between October
6th and 8th. You can
learn all about the candidates before
you fill out your ballot. Read their
