(682) Paint and Water Only *Abstract Fluid Art*

In today's video, I really wanted to do an abstract piece using just paint and water. It's been quite a while since I've done one of these. Video 479 was one that I did with blue, white, and some turquoise or aqua color. And it turned out really pretty. I think I'm going to do more of these. I really like the abstract look and just how airy and how the colors blend together when you just have some concentrated areas of paint and then just spritz some water on it. I ended up using white, a really light pink, magenta, and purple matter for my base coat. And I just used some paintbrushes to gently blend them together. And this is just paint directly from the tube. I have not added anything to these paints and then once I had my base coat down I didn't let it dry at all. I just started working right on the wet paint. I spritzed some water and then I started dripping some of my fluid acrylics right onto my canvas and I have some white. I also have some gold Liquitex acrylic ink that I might try and use and then some darker purple again to add and then I also took just a little bit of water and thinned out that really light pink to add to it. Overall I think I used a little bit too much water while I was spritzing. It did blend really nicely but I think next time I would really like some of those puddles of paint to have more definition across my canvas but it's really fun just to watch how the paint moves and blends together when you just spritz a little bit of water on it. It's just really fun to watch and it creates such a really interesting abstract design. And I think this definitely has a lot of potential for adding other embellishments when it's dry or trying to create some really nice cells throughout the entire piece while it's still wet. I was thinking about what I could do by adding some alcohol inks or maybe some spray paint to this while I have that really fluid paint and water right on my canvas. Just starting out by adding the white and the light pink and then just using that spray bottle that I have with water was just really fun to watch all that paint move. I started dripping the purple on and it was quite thick so that's why I thinned it down just a little bit with some water before adding some of that. I did add a little bit of the acrylic ink which is that gold and it just really sunk underneath those colors so I think next time instead of an ink I'll use a gold paint and see what kind of embellishments I could add with a little bit of that. The purple kind of took over at the top once it was all dry and I like I said think if I add a little bit less water that might affect it a little bit but this was just so much fun to do I really like the parts at the bottom of those white blotches of paint against the really dark purple background and I'm definitely gonna be trying these again and probably use something more like what I did in my previous video with the blues and the turquoise and the teal color along with some of the white I hope you guys like this video it's definitely fun to try out some different techniques especially with just playing around with paint and water and not adding any pouring medium or sticking with one design just kind of mixing it up with a really abstract piece I really enjoyed doing this so I'll see what I can come up with in the future but I hope you guys like this video if you did give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe to my channel I do post two videos a week and I will see you all in the next one.
